Wow, cia gallery nyc has been a garden of creativity lately! I am so excited and proud to exhibit my longtime friend, artist Travis Egedy aka the legend @_pictureplane_ ‘s newest paintings and prints opening this Thursday 9/24 at 1108 Cypress Ave, 6-9pm (Halsey L train). His and @iza.mendoza9’s show announcements made it IN PRINT to the Queens Chronicle newspaper, and I am grateful for a print feature in Queens Daily Eagle, as well as It’s in Queens blog, multiple articles in @urgent.matter, and in @beautynewsnyc_official. Look out for our next femme-forward exhibit curated by the illustrious Katie Cercone, opening October 15th at the gallery. Recently, @skykistler curated a sick music show featuring her performance as well as @paulbabeplease and @maulcouple live. I am also thrilled to reveal @rguzmanserrano and @heavymetalcurator will be joining Katie and I as curators for the cia gallery nyc 2027 line up, with the full exhibition calendar dropping soon on our website. Sign your email on our website cia.gallery to join us.

My name is Julia Sinelnikova, and I am an artist based in New York City. Come on out to Iza’s Mendoza very first NYc Solo exhibition of intaglio and woodcut prints this month, which I curated at cia gallery (http://cia.gallery). The gallery is at 1108 Cypress Ave, 11385 and the opening is 6-9pm on Wednesday, September 9th. The show is running through September 20th and open Thursdays and Sundays 1-6pm (as well as by appointment, ciagallerynyc at gmail dot com 📧). @iza.mendoza9’s intricate and imaginative works explore themes of folklore, mythology, animal hybrids and the feminine spirit. The show has already been featured *in print* in the Queens Chronicle, as well as on Queens Gazette and It’s In Queens Blog on their website.
.
During the exhibition we are also hosting a music show curated by @skykistler ~ @paulbabeplease and @maulcouple will also perform ~ September 18th 7pm till 10/11pm, free. It’s an experimental hyperpop showcase so don’t miss this! Iza’s work will be on the walls. Hope to see you!

L0ads on Thursdays // August 27 // 9PM

@maulcouple @ 10PM

** “Manipulator” music video release at MIDNIGHT **

Queer ass drink specials all night // Lori Jayne food till midnight // RSVP in bio

🤍Maul Couple🤍 is an electronic music duo formed in 2025. The duo consists of recording artist, Jixi, and producer, Brant Wolff. Maul couple’s original music blurs the lines of hyperpop, alternative pop, trap, electroclash, and witch house, taking listeners on a layered journey. The duo likes to coin their music as “future mall music,” where the explicit, underground version of your favorite genres are played.
