I am very thankful to be slowly crawling out of a space of sadness, fear and feelings that are quite difficult to describe.

It's has truly been a difficult 17 months. At times I feel like the climb out was NEVER going to happen. That I was going go be locked into this unknown deep abyss forever.

In the past several months, I can look back and genuinely see who is in my corner. Rooting for me. ESPECIALLY when I have not been able to believe in myself. Starting therapy to work through my traumas (current &past) learning daily skills & building daily routines has been life changing. It's not my 1st go at therapy, or a go around at being healthier. The work can be hard. I'm thankful each day it brings me closer to the direction That I WANT to go in.

I'm still a work in progress.. Each day I keep trying, keep showing up in someway to get healthier physically, mentally and learn to work through difficulties. Build a well rounded life that makes me happier. I'm slowly starting to see the woman I've missed emerging..The one I thought was lost.

So, This is a huge SHOUT OUT and thank you to all who have , and still are, there for me. Without your encouragement, your pushing, your tough love, your belief in me.. I wouldn't be where I am today.

Find that support person or people In your life, who get to know YOU and strive to help you be the best version of yourself. If you can't find someone in your current group of people or your current life - go out and find new people. That is what i did. Sometimes it'll come from the most unexpected places.. I'm so thankful I did.

I'm looking forward to the day I give back to others as much as I've been given.

It takes alot to ask for help.. more than you can imagine!!

Then, Not everyone steps up. Those that due are the ones you know really care about you.
That's what it's like to have a "tribe".

Being a tough year that it has been medically, emotionally, physically and psychologically..... I COULD NOT have made it thru without the love and support of my other coaches and running club friends.

❣️Having people who are encouraging,
who tell you, you can when you feel like you can't.

❣️People to check in and just say "Hi"

❣️ Those that tell you to be gentle with yourself, that you still need to take care of you..

❣️the same ones that also tell you to get in a walk..or non impact workout.

❣️ Especially ones who listen, gently, when you tell them your fears, anxiousness, your doubts and your pain and they still LOVE AND CARE about you.

So to EVERYONE that has been there.. HUGE THANK YOU 🥰

I remember singing a song in Girl Scouts:
"Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the others gold. "

That is so true. I have been friends ( see the pictures) with Amy, since the 1st day of 1st grade. I met Maureen, in high school. These two women &I have been thru LIFE together. Abuse, deaths, graduations, children, marriages, college , jobs, vacations, happiness & memories .When my 1st husband died, Amy didn't even ask, she jumped on a plane with my then 6 m.o. Godson & was here the next day. Maureen was here to hold my hand thru that, & to let me bend her ear being a new stepmom. Then 7 years ago Meredith, waltzed into my life. These three have seen me thru trials, and tragedy, they have all been there thru my tears of and painful journey of infertility and now my health crisis of my Saddle Embolism. They have celebrated life with me as well, at beaches, Disney & sharing their beloved children with me.
I can not forget my awesome cousin, cousins & friend are the best, Sara, who has been such an amazing source & supporter thru this medical crisis. I think this has drawn us closer together, not by distance but by heart. I Cannot WAIT to run with her.
In the past few years, I have added several new friends, Alli, Jennifer, Kim, Sarah, Cassidy, Cindy, Ashlie, Kim.. who are totally indispensable. Rocking, strong, inspiring women and business owners.

See they may not know my LIFE story, they know my story NOW. After the crisis, the person that has come out of the darkness for the most part, and is trying to live her dreams.

So tie the two together, and it is a complete circle. Old and new knitted together.

This is what is awesome about Coaching. You have friends that know you, that you are their cheerleaders, and they yours. Then you meet new friends, and you get to add to that positive, uplifting circle of people. You get to build NEW friendships to add to those existing ones that you already have in your life.

IT is not always about exercise, nutrition, It can also be BBQ, drinks, coffee & weekend get-away.

If that sounds something you think you'd like, Drop a ❤️below. I can ALWAYS use new friends.

Let me tell you about my ol friend "Patriot"

Now, I am a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.. since i was 8 years old...

You see, I grew up in New England, land of the Patriots..so you'd Think I'd be a Patriots fan. Then just before I turned 22, I moved to Jacksonville Jaguars territory. Maybe I'd be a Jags fan. However I kept hold to the Black &, Gold🖤💛 all this time.

Soo. a few Christmases ago , one of my closest friends thought of getting me a special gift.. forgetting temporarily, She bought me a Patriots lunch bag. As I sat there slightly confused, for a second, I looked up, she realized her error. We laughed, because, well, it was an honest mistake. Hey.. we are both from New England.

I just couldn't let ol "Patriot" be discarded. So when I started Ultimate Portion Fix, he found his purpose. He is my holder for my containers that I use. A very important job, I might add. When I travel, he travels and we add other packets, shakes, hustle juice, hydrate, recharge, recovery. What ever we need. Every thing is safe and sound zipped inside.

So, I will always be steadfast Steelers fan.. yet ol Patriot is important, not only for his memory as a gift of love..just as important he will always be with me on my healthy lifestyle Journey.
