Kite flying at Kokanee Glacier Park- an Easter event. It was fun & so gorgeous out there!
Reminded me of when my Dad taught me to fly a kite. I was seven and he built a kite out of thin wood, newspaper & fishing line for me. We took it out to the school field, he said ‘Run girl run, let the wind take it.’ And it did.

Hey gang, we took the ferry over to Pilot Bay & hiked to Pebble Beach. I think it has another name but it’s all smooth pebbles & round little rocks. It was beautiful. Met lots of mosquitos & a couple aggressive deer flys! We walked out of the trail onto the beach & there was a chick who had taken off her shirt, draped herself over a log, dude was kneeling on shirt, on pebbles, just a givin’ it to her! Natural BC.
Pretty funny. I mean it’s not a remote hike or anything. Exhibitionists carry on!

Oscars viewing, we ate popcorn & cake & sipped tea- think those r the food groups right? Busted out Verna’s polyester pantsuit. Mavis wore Mom’s old caftan.

Snowshoeing with Mavis & visiting Grandmother. It is always inspiring & calming to hang with the Grandmothers out at Busk Nordic ski area. They listen like no one else.
It was pretty cold that day & my breath created white hair- kinda fun. But needed some warmer socks!!
So grateful.

…so there we were minding our own business & suddenly there they were- THE ROAD KINGS!!!! We pulled over & started fangirling the beasts parked on the road.
The Road Kings of Nelson put on the SPECTACULAR Queen City Cruise in our fair town of Nelson- and Patrick assured us that it’s gonna be happening next year! We yakked about cars, history & he let Mavis sit in his Galaxie! Thanks Patrick!!
