& that’s a wrap on another Virtuoso Travel Week! 🎰✨

Ending this wonderfully chaotic week incredibly grateful and full-hearted with bags under my eyes, no voice, and very little sleep.

Every August, the travel industry flocks to Vegas to connect, be together, and celebrate an industry we all love all with one too many martinis, endless cheek kisses, and meetings and meetings and more meetings.

So grateful for my LHW family, our incredible hoteliers, and all the clients and friends we got to reconnect with. I feel lucky to know you all.

We truly have the best industry in the world. Until next year, Vegas. 💚

Three properties, each unique but similar in all the right ways. Why did I pick these for this trip? Each one felt like walking into your best friend’s home in that city. They all balanced that cozy, homey vibe with a sense of luxury. You never felt lost in the crowd. The staff knew who you were, and the service was exceptional at every property.

Pro tip at each property:

The Dylan in Amsterdam (picture #2): the bar area is so vibey and cannot be missed
Esprit Saint Germain in Paris (picture #3): take a picnic to the Luxembourg Gardens for lunch and don’t forget the complimentary honor bar
1 Place Vendôme in Paris (picture #4) : you will not want to leave

Also, I want to normalize longer stays in Paris. We stayed on both the left and right bank, and it was such a fun way to experience different parts of the city. We already have a list going for our next trip 😉

Selecting hotels for clients is one of my favorite parts, so do not hesitate to reach out if you would like me to book for you with perks included or if you want access to my booking link

Day 02 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Truly blissful morning enjoying the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam - breakfast and time enjoying their lovely garden and tulips. Followed by 30.000 steps exploring the main canals Herengracht, Keizergracht and Prisengracht. Delicious lunch at BUFFET van Odette - the Fennell Sausage and the Brandade are a MUST. Checked OUT from Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam and moved to Check IN at the Pulitzer Amsterdam in Jordaan District. Back to exploring a bit more. Stopped for a drink and walk around by The DYLAN Hotel Amsterdam. Dinner choice for tonight was ASHOKA Indian & Nepalese Restaurant in Centrum. Ending with a lovely stroll back to my hotel for the night. SLAAP LEKKER ( aka. Rest Well & Good Night ) everyone, from Amsterdam.

The Dylan’s Playbill of March 🎭
March slowly opened the doors to spring. The garden quietly came back to life as it was prepared for the season ahead, with the first signs of green settling in along the courtyard. Inside, it continued filming of BITE, capturing Bar Brasserie OCCO for an event in June, while our new gym moved closer to completion, almost ready to welcome its first guests.

On April’s Playbill: longer days in the courtyard, seasonal flavours at OCCO, gym finished and the next chapters unfolding behind the scenes.

Last night, Amsterdam played host to quiet excellence.
The Leading Hotels of the World gathering at Dylan Amsterdam was a masterclass in understated luxury and strategic hospitality.

Beneath candlelight and 17th-century beams, global hoteliers, visionaries, and tastemakers converged—not to impress, but to connect. Conversations flowed with intent. Every detail was deliberate. This wasn’t networking; it was alignment.

Dylan delivered exactly what great luxury should: precision without noise, warmth without performance, and an atmosphere where relationships—not logos—took center stage.

A reminder that true leadership in hospitality isn’t loud.
It’s confident, curated, and deeply human.

Hallo, @hotelthedylan - thank you for your hospitality!

The Dylan Amsterdam, discreetly hidden away in a pair of historic buildings alongside the Keizersgracht canal, was one of the first hotels to combine boutique aesthetics with luxury comforts, and thanks to a process of continual reinvention it looks as fresh today as it did when it opened its doors in 1999.

The look is soberly stylish, its exteriors rendered in sharp monochrome and its interiors spanning several distinct styles. There’s Loxura, patterned after a copper-colored butterfly; Amber, decorated in gemstone hues; Serendipity, in soothing warm neutrals; and Loft, combining white-on-white minimalism with original architectural details like bare timbers. The décor is eclectic but restrained, and the layouts are unusual but always sensible, a reflection of the characteristic strengths of Dutch design.

Bar Brasserie OCCO is the hotel’s all-day venue, spilling out into the hotel’s central courtyard, open for everything from breakfast to afternoon tea to dinner and late-night cocktails. It’s joined by the extraordinary Restaurant Vinkeles, recipient of a pair of Michelin stars under the direction of chef Jurgen van der Zalm.

The hotel itself is only part of the experience; Amsterdam is not a town for shut-ins. The Dylan keeps an armada of black bicycles parked outside for guests to rent, and Amsterdam is, of course, an extremely bicycle-friendly town. The location is central, and thus quite close to the Rijksmuseum, the Anne Frank House, and the Van Gogh museum, as well as a variety of shopping and café districts.
