Dear Cindy,
Thank you for reminding me why I do what I do.
You opened my heart to growth, gave me fresh eyes to see new possibilities, and blessed me with the love of so many new people. Little did I know that this production would reignite my love for performing and my passion for reaching people in a way I never believed possible.
You brought me so many memories and relationships I will cherish always.
You taught me hard lessons that I will carry with me for years.
You showed me I have the strength to do things I never thought possible.
You created a safe space for me to learn it’s ok to make the hard choice and brave the uncertainty for a chance at my yes.

“Moments in the Woods.” A fitting song for a fitting season.

I’ve been reflecting on what these last couple of months of being a part of Into the Woods have meant to me, and this song resonates more than I expected it to: If every moment was magical, the magic would eventually become mundane. So we cherish the magical moments. And when the time comes, it’s okay to leave the woods and go back to regular life and cherish it just as well. That’s where I’m at now.

Being a part of this cast was magical. I’ve made so many new friends and these people have become a part of my story. The last ten or so months have been challenging and healing. Through it all, the Lord has shown up in ways I never could have dreamed. He has been so faithful, brought me new people, and somehow, He brought me back to something I loved first: theatre.

I’ll cherish these moments. I leave the woods knowing that the magic was real, even if this particular chapter is over. And I can’t wait to see what’s next!
