I turned 30 earlier this month!! The big 3....0!! Super crazy to have gone around the sun for 3 decades!! One of my birthday gifts when visiting Calgary was to go to Shelf Life Books & pick out BOOKS!! Luckiest sister in the world!! @shelflifebooks was life!! The book selection was incredible from mainstream, Indie to local authors!! Also diverse selection of authors & book genres!! I love how the store was organized!! Especially having certain sections & tables organized by colour!! If you know my home library you know I'm a big colour organizer!! Not to mention they decorated for HALLOWEEN!! Safe to say being in this bookstore felt right!! Also shoutout to the staff who were super kind & welcoming!! Really appreciate you all accepting us into your store & letting me have a whole video & photo shoot!! I got so many good books here!! Definitely will be doing a photo post about those later!! I will 1000% be returning!! Please everyone if you are in Calgary stop by Shelf Life Books!! There is something here for everyone!! Thank you everyone for getting me to 200 followers!! To celebrate here is my first proper reel/video!! My brother Max took me to some bookstores in Calgary last time I went!! We went to two of my favourite bookstores in the city: - Fairs Fair Books in Inglewood @fairsfairyyc - Pages in Kensington!! @pagesbooks They were so kind, helpful, and welcoming at these locations!! Good prices on the used books at both locations!! I will always be returning to these locations when possible!! I found so many books from my book lists at these locations!! We also went to - The Next Page in Inglewood I was able to find books from Jamaica Kincaid in the Art Book style!! Thank you @max1inar3s who directed, produced & edited this video!! I wanted to make sure my 200 followers post was special and he made sure it is!! #yycbooks #yycbookstores #bookgirlie #bookgirl #booksta Calgary Bookstores | Calgary Books | Book Adventure| Book Hunting| Book Lover| Book Shopping|

Finally got to try Kups in Inglewood Calgary!! Yes the gimick of food on top of ones drink got me!! And I'm so glad it did!! Thank you Max for taking me!! Also get ready for spam if me between each food pic because I really was feeling myself in these pics!! Thank you @max1inar3s for always taking my pics and making me look mad cute!! What we ordered: - Sweet & Spicy Fried Chicken (8.5/10): This was so good!! I wasn't expecting greatness, so I was pleasantly suprised!! More sweet than spicy but still a good tasteful balance!! Also I got more chicken than I expected!! Always nice to get more food than you expect!! - Tteokbokki (8.5/10): It was a good Tteokbokki, the right amount of spice!! - Mandoo (7/10): This was good. I liked it but probably wouldn't order again. - Shrimp Tempura (6/10): It was okay. I liked it but not enough to order it again!! - Strawberry Green Cloud (8/10): Delicious & simple!! - Mango Ade With Strawberry Popping (8.5/10): This Ade hit the spot it was refreashing even with the fizziness!! I would go again for sure. Maybe try the one in Kensington as that one looked bigger!! I like that you got to just order off an IPad & wait for your food!! #yycfood #yycfoodie #yyceats #foodieblog #goodeats

Fair's Fair Books In Inglewood I had to do a mini book tour through Calgary!! And this was the place to stop!! It was so amazing here!! The range and quality of books is divine!! I found so many books from my book lists here!! Also I love that they put the price inside the book as to not ruin the cover of the books!! Because going to some of the other used bookstores and seeing the stickers on the cover of the books was heartbreaking!! Also the staff were so kind and helpful!! Books I Bought: - The Whisper Man By Alex North (I need to read this before the movie comes out!!) - Five Little Indians By Michelle Good (This has been on my list for too long and now its MINE!!) - Reluctant Immortals By Gwendolyn Kiste (Survivors of Dracula how could I say no!!) - Bunny By Mona Awad (Hard Cover $15, looking so new what a STEAL!!) - We Love You, Bunny By Mona Awad (Hard cover as well, to go with the Bunny book. Got both books for less than the price of this book new!!) So many current and old books to find here!! If you are a book lover visiting Calgary I highly recommend stopping here!! #booksta #bookgirlie #bookstoreyyc #bookgirl #booksyyc Main photo by: @max1inar3s

I was getting very hungry after browsing & buying books at Pages books in Calgary!! So I stopped at PB AND J's!! What an incredible decision!! I was met with amazing food & even more amazing service!! What I Ordered: - Tomato Soup (9/10): I really really liked this tomato soup!! I'm not much of a soup person, but when I'm in the mood for soup this is the soup I expect as the bare minimum!! Also since it was the deal of the week it was only $4.99 garlic bread included!! - Garlic Bread (10/10): This came as a side with the soup but it was perfection so I had to give it, its own rating!! The flavour, crunch, shape, & size were all perfect!! -PB Smashed Burger (8/10): What can I say except yummy!! If you like savory Peanut Butter meals then this is the order for you!! Be warned though this meal is really filling. I could only finish one side of my sandwich style smash burger. But that's because I had my soup & garlic bread first!! I need to return to try some of their sweet sandwiches!! Although the owner Aws offered me a sweet sandwich I wanted to make sure my first time eating here my ratings weren't skewed by his generosity, so it was politely declined. With that said I would 1000% return here!! The food was divine!! I need more garlic bread!! The service was amazing!! Watching Aws in action was amazing, he was kind to every customer from toddler to senior!! And I also overheard him give recommendations to other local restaurants if he didn't have on his menu something a potential customer was looking for!!
