Back in November, we were delighted to open our doors alongside over 50 other artists, painters, sculptors, photographers, musicians, and makers of all kinds for the annual @lp.openstudios weekend at @lydiapinkhamlabs! We continue to be amazed by how much talent we are surrounded by, and we are looking forward to engaging in more events with our #lynnarts community throughout the coming year! — @theclayschool @_naladesigns @paintedladysignco @bobbiebush @bostonportraitartist @joselitosupholstery @briewswift @acg_glass_art @kitschydishpottery @yarnpants @max7realty @northshorepianostudio @paintbytheocean @maryspitzersculptures @pg_pottery @rowhousepottery @marbleheadseaglass @kallisonceramics @patricia_scialo @lepetit.studio_ @cjohnsonstudio @museum.store.objectorium @luna_sweets_ @wilrenart @magpies.tiredeyes @jrbimage — #lynnarts #lydiapinkhamopenstudios #lydiapinkham #lydiapinkhamlabs #local #arts #localarts #northshore #accreativemedia #tellyourstory #artisttudios #supportlocalart

Almost there! Lots of experimentation ahead of Lydia Pinkham Open Studios on November 23rd and 24th. @lp.openstudios Victor (@max7realty) and I will be selling out of our studio at the Lydia Pinkham building - room 211C! Not crazy about the matte blue glaze with the kitty mugs, but Victor thought I needed something besides pink. I’m dubious. I think I need MORE pink. My main focus has been trying to get these floral pieces right. I’m not there yet. The porcelain slip I’m using over stoneware clay keeps bloating and coming loose from the pieces. They’re quite sharp, so I don’t even know if I could sell them as seconds to use as planters or pencil cups. But I’m getting closer and will hopefully have it solved soon. Doubtful I’ll have a solution by open studios, though.
