Once in a while a job comes along that doesn’t feel like work at all. Even the long days being stuck on a boat for hours on end - sometimes in a downpour - were filled with laughs and dance parties.
I love this crew. I love this cast. And I LOVED working in Muskoka and coming home to my cottage to jump in the lake at night.

I have 20k pictures that prove it. Here’s a few.

For your consideration! What an honour to be nominated for Best Photography, Comedy, for Run The Burbs season 3! It takes a village, from @andrewphung on down, to create this show. Everyone did such an incredible job in front of and behind the camera and I’m so happy to see so many of the phamily get recognized for their hard work. Congratulations!
Director @patkmills and I had a lot of fun on this Halloween episode! We did dolly zooms, split screens, referenced the opening of John Carpenter’s Halloween and more! Check out the incredible work by @ingrid_jurek and her team creating a haunted house for us to play in.
I couldn’t have done any of this without my amazing team, who are some of the best, most collaborative professionals working in Canada. I loved laughing, learning, growing and creating with you all. Thank you!
The Run The Burbs set was special for many reasons and was truly a welcoming and uplifting space. One memory that I will cherish forever is being able to have my parents visit set. The cast and crew were so warm and kind to them - it meant so much to me to get to share that with them and I was overwhelmed with the generosity and kindness that was shown to them. I am forever grateful to the team for that.
Congratulations to all the nominees, @lainieknox , @ben.lichty , @gayle_ye , and @3000hotdog. I’m inspired by the work you do and I’m so honoured to be nominated alongside you. #CanadianScreenAwards #pier21 @thecdnacademy @runtheburbs @scott.townend @neluhanda @jennicaharper @cbcgem

I still can't quite find the words to express what a special experience and gift Sort Of has been. I am beyond grateful that I was invited to join this fantastic team of collaborators on a show that I loved watching. The heart that so strongly shines through on the screen was with us all as we made this beautiful show. The creators, producers, directors, actors and crew all lead with love and trust and I'm just so proud to be a part of this team. Congratulations to the whole team for creating this magic and thank you. Thank you to @spheremedia.tv for your support and trust! Thank you to my camera and G&E teams for all of your hard work and collaboration! A special thanks to @sortofbilal and @fab.filippo for your incredible talent, your trust, the beautiful way you lead and create and for lifting up those around you. The final 2 episodes of season 3 drop tomorrow. I'll be sharing more BTS and frame grabs soon!

As I wrap up my time hosting and looking back at the projects I've worked on, I discovered something about myself - I've strapped a few cameras to my head! I love figuring out how to get to the end goal and I like to dream, which I guess means sometimes diving in head-first!

I love making visuals. The collaboration, the constant learning adventure, that feeling when you and your team nail a shot, an atmosphere, a joke, a scare - it does wonders for the body and mind! The thing I'm finally giving myself space for is coming down from that high, the long hours, constant communication with many people to enjoying time off. I'm really bad at it - but I'm working on it! Living and experiencing new things is important.

The last project I want to mention is the doc @sexwithsue, which is nominated for 5 CSA awards including best photography. Sue is a beautiful person who did important sex-education work and touched a lot of lives. I am so grateful to have been a part of this project and to have worked with the fantastic Director @rideoutl and co-DOP @llcoolwei Please check it out!

Thank you to my collaborators, who have taught me so much and who I continue to learn from, long after we finish a project. I look forward to many more creations with you and new collaborators, too! I also want to thank the CSC community for sharing, teaching me so much and creating a space for us all to share and support each other. I find this industry to be very intimidating at times and our CSC Instagram and community have been very inviting and warm, and I'm grateful for that.

I want to thank my friends and family who have stood in for camera, lens and lighting tests for me (and hopefully will continue to do so! :)) and so much more. Our loved ones often give much to our industry as well.

Looking back at these projects has been wonderful. Taking time to remember the good and tough times has reminded me of lessons and beautiful moments with cherished collaborators.
