On the 11th of July - after 1 year and 10 months on the road - we arrived back home 🇧🇪🏠 Back in the country where this beautiful adventure began. An adventure that brought us closer to ourselves, to humanity, and to the present moment. It showed us what comfort and discomfort really mean, and how much we are capable of when we step outside our comfort zone. From the outside, it might look like we travelled this road by ourselves. But that’s not how it feels. It feels like we travelled with every single person we met along the way. From the millions of hello’s exchanged with strangers, to the meals we shared, the drinks, the short conversations, and the friendships that lasted a little longer. We carry a small piece of all these beautiful souls with us, just as we hope they carry a little piece of us. And we also travelled with you. To everyone who followed our adventure, sent us messages, encouraged us, and shared your incredibly kind energy—thank you. Without you, we honestly don’t think we would have travelled this far. Whenever the minutes turned into hours, the hours into long exhausting days on the bike, and we felt like giving up, there was always a message, a smile, or an unexpected encounter that gave us the motivation to keep going. This adventure also wouldn’t have been possible without our most loyal companions: our bikes and bags. They were sometimes our best friends and sometimes our worst enemies, but they carried us through 20,214 km and 26 countries without ever letting us down. These beautiful machines connected one place to the next and allowed us to experience a world we could never have discovered any other way. A very special thanks goes to @111shop.be for helping us choose the right equipment and sharing your advice before we left. Without you, this adventure wouldn’t even have started. Thanks to you, we made it all the way back to Belgium with the exact same setup we left home with. The beginning of France 🇫🇷 THE ALPS A region we re-discovered in another way with a lot of joy and excitement. And we were absolutely not disappointed! It was just wonderful, as much for its landscapes as for the people we’ve met there. Starting by @allezzzou, this wonderful french couple of travelers we’ve crossed the border with, followed by beautiful hospitality. It was the opportunity to exchange our bicycle into backpacks the time of a weekend, to walk up there and get into another dimension on the majestuous rocks surrounding us. It was the beginning of the last country before entering our own. Bonjour, Hallo, Namaste, Merhaba, Yasas ✨ What a pleasure it is to finally write these words… After a Sunday ride that unexpectedly turned into an adventure of almost 1 year and 7 months, taking us all the way to India, we are finally on our way back home. On our way to BXL! 🚲💫 To celebrate this special moment, we would love to invite you to an afternoon in the beautiful garden of Fanny in Zellik — a time to reconnect, dance, sing, share stories, and simply enjoy being together. I don’t know if y’all remember, but 1 year and a half ago, Max broke his foot in Zitsa. We stayed there, in the bakery of the village, for almost 3 months. Something « bad » that became something very beautiful. For sure, one of the strongest relations we built during this journey. It’s been a while that we were thinking about how to go back from Asia, and for different reasons we had to fly to Europe. It became very soon very clear to both of us that we had to go back to Greece, to them ❤️ So, without anybody knowing that we were in Europe we cycled back there, to that beautiful village and the delicious sourdough bread, and surprised them!
