2 years. this is what sober joy looks like.
-
i’ll try to keep this short…
today marks 2 years of being sober + claiming edge. it’s a choice that i made for me, for life. i tbh never thought i’d claim edge or be fully sober, but i also never thought id be an addict either. i’m happy to no longer be on that path + that i found a lifetime of sobriety at a young age.
i’m thankful for all the people in my life who helped me get + stay here, especially my fellow straight edge friends. i’m thankful to have had a couple close people to me when i claimed edge who helped me find comfort in this life choice. i’m thankful to all the people who have entered my life since then who are or have become straight edge. i’m thankful to have such a large community around me.
i’m the best me for myself, my friends, + my community when im sober.
fuck you, straight edge.
