Back with a bang 💪

The Mercury Fringe returned to The Glasshouse for a second year, shining the spotlight on three of the North’s most exciting talents. Robyn Banks, Ellur and headliner Tom A Smith brought the anthems and the energy to our special BBC Introducing from The Glasshouse.

It was the perfect way to kick off a huge week for the region as the Mercury Prize returns to the North East.

We’re still thinking about how class @bbcintroducing from The Glasshouse was this week. Three of the most exciting bands from Wearside took to the stage and showed us exactly why they are ones to watch 🙌
