Today I turned 18, officially an adult despite feeling like one for a long while! Just want to start off by thanking EVERYONE for making today so amazing and kindly giving me some amazing and sweet gifts, ranging from beautiful flowers to multiple 18+ beverages 🤣 I thought this deserved its own post. This scrapbook, made over countless hours by my amazing best friend of over 10 years. Thank you everyone who participated in it, my family and friends, people who I value and care about endlessly. Gifts are beautiful but gifts that make you feel seen are priceless, and this is one of them. The time and effort put into me and this beloved gift has made me feel so seen - I’m generally not a person who likes to make a fuss about myself, and I’m not one for attention. Today showed me I truly have people in my life who love and care about me, I have the family and friends a person will spend their entire life dreaming for. There may be some appalling pictures of me living in this scrapbook, however, I know that I’m loved regardless of the state of me, and I have helped shape amazing moments & memories. I’ll end this here as I could talk about how much love I have for the people in my life but I’d talk forever. Thank you everyone, I know you’re only 18 once and it’s about having fun, but quite frankly I’d rather reread every letter in this scrapbook than celebrate my 18th the more ‘fun’ way. I consider myself the luckiest person alive for many reasons. Thank you everyone who has made me the happiest and luckiest woman I am today ❤️
