FRIENDS <3 DANCE! Look mama what we created - an ode to JOY, dance, community and connection❤️

I’ve had the opportunity to teach dance for a group of friends for around 5 years. Purely for the joy of coming together, learning something new and most importantly for practicing and expressing in a safe environment. In a space where judgement doesn’t exist. In a space where you’re accepted in all forms and where it is encouraged to try out new versions of yourself.

Some of my dancers have tried dance classes for the first time with this friend-dance-group. Some have returned to dance after a long break. And I’m so proud and happy to be able to provide this experience. From friend to friend, with no pressure or expectations. We have enough of those in this world.

We are on the edge of glory. And look what we created! This project was so much fun. LET’S DANCE!!🐦‍🔥❤️

Choreography, concept and directing: @ssaradahl

A Friday night in the loving hands of our locals. Consider yourselves taken care of.

Mallamáret, otherwise known as Malla, is no stranger to The Bar. An all-round creative force, she’s got a way with analogue machines and a taste for the darker, more seductive side of dance music.

Bobi De Oro brings a different kind of magic. A musician with an ear for the past and both feet in the present, his selections draw from the raw, human side of dance music. Old sounds finding new life, and plenty of groove along the way.

Last but certainly not least, 2THEMAX enters the picture. They have a taste for euphoric trance, thick progressive house and techno with a little extra kick. Genres come and go, but the pursuit of a good time remains rather serious business.

What more could we ask for?

DJ-diary: Finnish Fashion Awards, Helsinki, May 2026

This was another cute weekend. It started when our friends @mertotsamo & @laszlokonstantinkalmar introduced their new baby, the ready-to-wear label @otsamo.official at Kämp. I got a bit emotional because of all the love that was poured into this collection and the whole event. So many layers of friendship, art, and beauty.

With that afterglow, we continued to the Finnish Fashion Awards and I ofc did some DJ’ing. As a teenager I was a nerd attending all the handicraft courses, making my own clothes etc., so it was so impressive to see how many talented and creative people are working between art & fashion in Finland.

The dress I was wearing is hand-dyed with natural indigo and crocheted by @saimielmiina. Also in the last video, @ainocollin is wearing a dress made by @sinisaavala that was made from a real silk feather pillow. And the music is played by me, muahahah.

October has entered The Bar and is serving both tricks and treats.

Interlink celebrated 3 years of linking and Club2k did some bouncing around, but October has plenty more where that came from. We’ve got Denzel & Joni DJ back at home base, another esteemed RADC party, Post Bar Club Night with Ogazón, Katerina, and SAGWA, Helsinki legend Miia Magia together with newer comers Ronja and Ozan, as well as Sansibar going on an all night solo mission and club kids 2THEMAX, Bobi De Oro and Mallamáret doing their thing.

Towards the end of the month, normal proceedings are suspended in favour of three consecutive days of Halloween: Jipangu Shibuya on Thursday, HENNYWEEN on Friday, and finally it all comes down to the Halloween Half-Marathon on Saturday: thirteen hours from the dead of night into the rather alive light of Sunday morning. Should do the trick.
