The current dating app model is a rigged system.
Because it is completely frictionless to swipe, people match with everyone and commit to no one. Sorting through the endless noise becomes a massive, stressful task that leaves you feeling alienated. The tools are designed to maximize your screen time, not your connection.
We built an app to get you off your phone and onto real dates. No infinite browsing. Just real text-free progress toward a face-to-face meeting.
Available on Android now.

The global oil shock, mapped

Who is winning ? #OilShock #EnergyCrisis #NuclearPower #RenewableSolutions @aljazeeraenglish @guardianaustralia @lemondefr

#Geopolitics The world is discovering something new about globalisation, the inter-connectedness of supply chains and how geography and war / empires can impact all aspects of everybody’s lives worldwide.

Thank you @maxfishershow for helping us see the bigger picture. If you thought oil prices going up at the pump is bad, you’ve got another think coming. For a start, oil tankers are so heavy they go around the globe very slowly. Basically, the cost-of-living crisis will only get worse.

War is business. Just follow the money ! with Patrick Wintour @guardian and @venetialamanna

“Four weeks into a war that was going to take four days, and that has cost the US about $30-40bn and Israel $300m a day, Washington is further away from a diplomatic agreement with Iran than it was last year in May 2025.

Iran plans to turn the Strait of Hormuz into a money spinner, just as Egypt charges for access to the Suez Canal. Iran has set up a waterside stall whereby prime ministers and tanker owners can bargain with the Iranian navy over the toll they are willing to pay for the tankers to be given “free passage”.

Tankers carrying oil from favoured non-hostile nations such as India, Japan, Pakistan, South Korea and China get waved through or offered cheaper rates.”

“Little wonder Donald Trump is thrashing around” - much to the delight of Iranian digital propagandists creating viral Lego videos (watch this video till the end).

“The US, along with Israel, continues to bomb Iran, but has now twice put back the date of threats to strike Iran’s civilian power stations - an action that would constitute a war crime.”

Not funny. Are they even human ?@story_time_whispers_

“Not just being fought in command posts, but on trading floors.“

“For Iran, oil trading at anything above $100 a barrel is pitched high enough to destroy demand and disrupt the world economy. But it is not just oil. The Strait of Hormuz provides passage for chemicals, helium, metals and fertilisers.”

What next ? Peace and a green revolution ! @louisaschneider.info

GAS PRICES TO GO UP EVEN MORE...

OTHER World leaders are prepping their countries for fuel shortages, not ours. OTHER countries are telling their citizens to get ready to struggle to get gas and oil, it's going to be expensive and hard to find, but nothing from our government.

This is a self inflicted problem that Trump and Republicans have manufactured for the sole purpose of profit for themselves. Well, it's either that or they are all just stupid as shit. Either way, we are screwed.

@cliffcashcomedy has been talking about organizing veterans...we NEED to do that now! Our military leaders are quiting or being rapid fired for refusing to follow inept orders from our greedy, stupid leadership. The Republicans in Congress are all sitting on their thumbs watching our country burn.

I think a @thegeneralstrikeus @generalstrikeusflorida is upon us NOW. Best reason to strike from work: not being able to afford or find gas for your vehicles? We are just about there. We must Strike, Protest, Boycott and SHUT THIS COUNTRY DOWN and then remove the regime!!! It's time to put law and order back in the United States administration.

We the People demand administrative change now!!!

(Sorry, big rant this am. I'm exhausted, disgusted and angry. I see 8 million other Americans that are too, but that leaves 330 million more of us, and tbh I really think more of us should be pissed too. Why aren't 330 million Americans angry like me? Why aren't you paying attention?) Ahhhhhhhrrrrgggggghhhhhhh

“...Here’s what I think the truth is: We are all addicts
of fossil fuels in a state of denial, about to face cold turkey.

“And like so many addicts about to face cold turkey, our leaders are now committing violent crimes to get what little is left of what we’re hooked on.” -Kurt Vonnegut.
