Not only am I stitching swans this month, I’m also joining @evertotes @roxy.flossco and @maximumcrossstitch for #SamplerSeptember!! I could NOT pass up this chart and kit featuring a non-romantic Pride and Prejudice chart!!

P&P has such a special place in my heart bc it instantly brings me back to the flat I shared with 3 friends in London. Zahra, one of my flatmates watched this movie several times a week. It was always on!! To the point that other friends would come over and ask, “wasn’t this on last time I was here?” Yes. Yes it was.

I loved my time in that flat with those girls. I love P&P and I love this chart that celebrates friendship!! I can’t wait to put my first stitches in!!

This is also my first ever Roxy project and I’m so excited to try out the fabric and floss. I opted for a 20ct Aida in the color Cloud Break. I ordered the kit so I also got a needle book and needle minder!!

Oh and I ordered a bag from @sherisewsweet that was made with the awesome P&P cross stitch fabric!!

I have plans to watch all of the Jane Austen remakes and probably some of the Brontes too. Just to get into the spirit! Lemme know if you’re stitching this too!

Late last night, after almost a year, I finished Jane Wood 1853 by @maximumcrossstitch . She is everything I dreamed she might be! I chose to use the called-for, drop-dead gorgeous @roxy.flossco overdyed cotton threads (sourced from @evertotes) on @cedarriverlinen in 40-count Mica.

The verse I chose is a passage from “The Bright Sword,” a brilliant King Arthur retelling by @levgrossman and one of my very favorite reads from the last few years. Lev was kind enough to give me his blessing to use his words— thank you again!! Jane’s work is full of oddities and wonders, and as I worked them in these beautiful colors, I felt like a bit like Grossman’s Knights of the Round Table, exploring the wilds of Britain and finding absolute magic.

It’s a finish!! Absolutely loved stitching on this piece - thank you @evertotes for enabling me to stitch it on a lighter fabric! (I’m not as brave as @maximumcrossstitch to stitch on black linen lol)

Haul

My first order from @evertotes has arrived and I am in love!

I ordered Strange Creature by @maximumcrossstitch with the @roxy.flossco threads for Sampler September. I adore Jane Austen so I had to get it. I've chosen to stitch it on 36ct linen in Highbury Gold by @swanbay_fabrics

The next Design is by @the_artsy_housewife. I bought the pdf from the website, but ordered the @roxy.flossco threads pack. Jane Eyre is another of my favourite books. I'll be stitching it on 40ct evenweave in Wild Honey by @stoneybankcreations

I then chose a pack of blue threads as it's my favourite colour.

I ordered the seasons baskets by @pansypatchquiltsandstitchery which I need to kit up.

Thank you @evertotes for my lovely new stash. I'm sure I'll be ordering again!

Progress on my 2025 birthday start

"There is always room" by @maximumcrossstitch

I moved things around to accommodate the top berry I added to the berry basket. A lot of trial and error including the floss colors. I need to frog some stitches still...

Changed the birds on the trees.

Stitched 1 over 2 on 36 count evenweave dyed by me
using floss from stash.
