POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In the latest issue of @fredericmagazine, we got the honor of featuring this knockout home by @madelinedstuart in Pebble Beach, CA. What a treat to spend a few days capturing this one with Madeline and @maxkimbee. One of my favorite images of the shoot: this breakfast room with the most special Arthur Espenet Carpenter table and chairs. Go pick up a copy - so much more to see! x

Who says a compact kitchen can’t have a grand personality! In textile collector Jill Lasersohn’s Manhattan pied-à-terre, Interior Designer Marshall Watson uses dramatic black cabinetry to frame Les Scènes Contemporaines, a Schumacher wallpaper from Jill’s own toile collection inspired by historic textiles. 🖤🥂✨

Design Tip: Dark cabinetry can give an intricate wallpaper the visual structure it needs, allowing even a compact kitchen to embrace elaborate pattern without feeling overwhelming.

A good chair has to do more than look the part.

At Schumacher’s Soho headquarters, we considered how each workspace supports the way people actually work, from focused tasks to more informal moments throughout the day. We recently shared some of our favourite task chairs as well as seating selections for communal workspaces, libraries and dining halls that we keep coming back to.

Find out exactly what we look for when selecting the right chair, and see our proprietary list of workplace seating in Brad’s latest article. You can tap on the link in our bio to read Sightlines on Substack.

A century-old oak sets the terms for the architecture, shaping the home’s scale, placement, and proportion. The house responds to the tree at every level, allowing architecture and landscape to develop as a single composition. #curtisandwindham

Our advice: go with green. Our Wilder fabric creates the perfect perch in this light-filled brownstone in New York City's Upper East Side.

Our love affair with purple runs deep. From rich eggplant and moody plum to soft lavender and dreamy lilac, these interiors make a compelling case for the color in all its forms. Scroll through for a few of our favorites.

A bedroom that fully embraces color, without losing its sense of polish. In this vibrant space by @juliabbuckingham, the sculptural headboard in Glant becomes the anchor, setting the tone for layers of pink, raspberry, and playful pattern throughout the room.

Bold, feminine, and full of personality, it is a reminder that a statement piece can still feel beautifully refined.

Expansive windows open the dining area to the deck and Pacific beyond, reinforcing the connection between the restored midcentury architecture and its coastal setting. #curtisandwindham
