⚡️ . The Graffiti Bike, aka V2 . I went so wild on this thing, I don’t even know where to start… It’s a bike I never had plans to build. Then I went and built the Ogle 30 with a bunch of new skills I had been developing and that sparked something. As amazing as that bike is (much love to @ministrycycles for developing the awesome suspension kit, @ridefoxbike for the new Live Valve, @maviccycling for an awesome wheelset, and @fireflybicycles for too many reasons to list), I realized it was the seed I needed to build a concept that took those skills and Spinal Tap them up to 11. . Graffiti isn’t the thing. @squidbikes has been doing a killer job of that for years. . Printed graphics aren’t the thing either. @bastioncycles had that cool angel wing bike. And literally every builder that works with 3Dp components has their logo either embossed or debossed somewhere on their parts since forever. . I hadn’t seen anybody get properly weird with it as a surface treatment or do any kind of layered graphics. And I just about broke Solidworks beating it into submission trying to do both of those things with a lot of fonts it clearly did not enjoy working with. I know it doesn’t make it a technically better bike. It makes it a bike that makes everyone smile when they walk up to it, and that’s what makes me smile. (Side note: if *just* technically better is all you’re looking for, I ain’t your guy. But I can help you find one) . Then there’s all the engineering happening inside the prints. Sadly for me, a detailed discussion about an integrated hidden seatpost clamp with a printed in structural flexure doesn’t interest a lot of people. Sometimes you proverbially gotta show a little skin with something like the graffiti to get attention… And I got to mention my awesome clamp again, so I call it a win. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. . >continued in pinned comment<

We’re starting to get some good photos from the Tampa Pro girls contest, where 13yo Mizuho Hasegawa won the very first girls vert contest that the Skatepark of Tampa has hosted in their 30 year history. Photog @Maxlaroid was on hand to shoot this Alley’oop Stalefish that was an important part of her run. She was riding CaraBeth’s Warrior deck that came out last year and is available at the H-Street online store. The top six spots earned themselves a place at Tony Hawk’s Vert Alert this summer, so we will hopefully see her return later this year. She is a rising star and we’re super stoked to have a front row seat to her amazing skateboarding abilities! #hstreetskateboards #alphagirls #onlythefaithful

this weekend i threw a Poetry Party for a belated bday party. IT WAS A DREAM. if you were there, you knew the magic that every single person brought. some people knew a couple others there, lots of people didn’t know anyone else but me. but knowing everyone who came : you all bring something real special and watching some of my faves gather was a giant gift. more please✨ part of being invited meant that one of your party (you and your +1) got to read an original piece of writing. not everyone shares what they write so it can be a nervous experience. it doesn’t have to be called poetry to be read. you don’t have to call yourself a poet. and it might include instruments. thank you all for sharing your hearts and bringing so much joy. let’s do a story night next — sounds like a perfect winter gathering.🔥

Garage Yoga is one of my favorite IRL’s of the week. my garage is a vibeeeee and although this picture is missing a couple from this morning, i’m feeling real grateful for these Sundays. once a week changes everything. truly. if you’ve been shaming yourself about not showing up on the daily, just start with one time a week. watch how significant that is. 🔥 big thanks to @holographic_fitness for helping me take down a broken backboard after class 👑 come flowwww — link in my bio for IRL Garage Yoga @carrot_bowl_bonnie
