It’s so easy to get caught up in competitions, results, and comparing yourself to everyone around you. When I do, I try to remember the girl who started all of this. Because I’m pretty sure little Clara would think I’m insanely cool. And sometimes, we’re so focused on how far we still want to go that we forget to look back at how far we’ve already come. So go look back at where you started. You might just realize that the person you are today is the dancer your past self was dreaming of becoming. ----------------------- Fun fact: Baby Novice Clara who was competing in All European didn't have a clue who @maxlau_ was at that point and just left the dance thinking "Hm, that guy kind of had a nice connection. He must have been doing this for a while." 🤡 ----------------------- #dance #psychology #inspiration

M&M together on the floor again. It’s been too long Maxence. Thank you for creating such an inviting, open, and creative space for me to dance from my heart. ❤️ 📸 Filmed by Harold Baker for @affinityswing at @desertcityswing.wcs @maxlau_ 😘 #westcoastswing #desertcityswing

ARE YOU READY?! 😁 Bringing back “Pony” at Manneken 🫶🏼 We created this team choreo 12 years ago at @swob_dance for our EMax Concept, and somehow it still feels timeless. It brings out the same joy and playfulness in us today as it did the very first time we danced it ☺️ ❔ West Coast Swing Choreography 👁️‍🗨️ @em_roc @maxlau_ 🎶 @deluxemoustache 📍 @manneken_swing . . . . . #dance #dancers #westcoastswing #choreography #areyouready

✨ OUR DEMO AT KOREA WESTIVAL ✨ Dancing with Maxence to one of his favorite songs at the moment. ❤️ At first, you might think it’s going to be a smooth and quiet one… but don’t let the beginning fool you. 👀 The music keeps building until it turns into pure energy—and we loved every second of it! 🔥 Thank you, Korea Westival, for this incredible moment! 🇰🇷 🕺🏻 @maxlau_ 💃 @aymeline_felmy 📍 @koreawestival_wcs 🎶 “Bad Times” by @imael_angel #wcs #westcoastswing #dancer #dancevideo #dance

Now there's one more intermediate in this big WCS world. Was I schocked? Yes. Was I speechless? Also yes. The fact that all of that happened in Korea? This division felt extremely far for me tbh. I got a chance to do Winners JnJ with @maxlau_ at @koreawestival_wcs . At Sunday morning workshops I was already impressed by his energy after parties 😆. I loved how chill this dance felt, even though it was my first spotlight. Thank you so much, Maxence, for this playful but at the same time calm dance :D Before my turn, girls were calming me down and showing support which I reallyyyy appreciate, since I was a bit nervous🫠 I also wanted to include the beginning of the recording where @wcs_taehoon and @delphinia_sliding_coho voices could be heard, 히히. It brought a huge smile to my face when I was rewatching it. And of course this event felt so special because of the people. I felt genuine support and excitement from a lot of friends and I'm gonna miss everyone a lot🫶🏻
