Here’s our highlights video from 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 lunch on Wednesday with the amazing @lewismoody7.

The newly-refurbished, sold-out venue, @quaglinos, looked resplendent and packed to the rafters as our members and their guests flocked to listen to a man with a stellar sporting career now facing his biggest match against MND.

It’s fair to say everyone left late afternoon inspired beyond belief by Lewis’s humour and raw honesty.

Great also to have @kennylogan11, 𝗗𝗿. @leonlloyd1, @andy_gomarsall, Schalk Burger, 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 in the house, as well as @gordonsmart.
Even better that we raised £30K for @myname5doddie.
Enjoy the video.

Thanks as always to sponsors @targetliftsltd, @_climatefm_ , @pygottandcrone and @sedulogroup.

𝗪𝗼𝘄, 𝗪𝗼𝘄, 𝗪𝗼𝘄!
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯’𝘀 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 with @lewismoody7 yesterday at the newly-refurbished @quaglinos had everything.

⭐ A full house. Absolutely packed to the rafters.
⭐ A welcome drink and a photo session with Lewis.
⭐ A three-course lunch with more drinks.
⭐ Cameo interviews with Kenny Logan and Simon Halliday.
⭐ Other rugby stars in the room, including Andy Gomarsall, Leon Lloyd, Schalk Burger.
⭐ Fundraising for My Name is Doddie reaching £30K.
⭐ And the main event - a funny, warm, informative, brave, poignant chat with the main man himself.

Lewis, of course, 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗯𝘆, winning everything for club and country. 🏉

Now he has his greatest fight. Motor Neuron Disease.

Just as he played his rugby, Lewis is tackling this challenge head-on, determined to drive significant progress in the fight against this terrible disease by raising funds and awareness that will lead, as soon as possible, to prolonging life and ultimately a cure.

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝘄𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀.

𝗧𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲 as a swathe of new members met each other.

Many new corporations are now joining the club after witnessing how we operate, but best of all - by a mile - was giving Lewis the chance to tell his story, along with the awareness and funds raised.

Today we’re looking back on our 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 in 2023, a night that saw 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, and even a topless (male) Samoan haka on stage, courtesy of 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗧𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗶.

✨ F**KING FABULOUS! ✨

When you ask your gorgeous grooms to leave you a little video testimonial and one of them drops a surprise F-bomb that leaves the other groom shooketh! 💣

But that’s ok with me! Drop F-Bombs all you want if that’s where your excitement takes you. 🤪

Thanks for having me fella! It was such a fun and special day and I was thrilled to be part of such an awesome showing of love, acceptance and togetherness! 🏳️‍🌈

Drop me an F-Bomb, I mean a message, if you want to get married by Dave Octave Celebrant. 😋

What a lovely bash I had the pleasure of capturing on Sunday evening for this special birthday lady, in her glamourous gold dress, @debsurq ✨️.

The venue is my favourite local @fredericks_n1 where the staff, food and vibe is first class. And how lovely that they always make sure I get a selection of delish food too (and you know that's the way to my ❤️).

There was fantastic music from the steel band @entertainerssteelband followed by great tunes from DJ Max Mistry @maxmarcusevents and even a photobooth, by @ukpartybooth and, yes, I had to have a go too! 🤳🥳

On a hot spring night, which felt like summer, this was a glorious place to be.

Wishing Debs and her beautiful family and friends a wonderful celebration 🍾 💖.
