At Luck Ranch you’ll find townies and outta-towners. Long-timers and first-timers. Hippies and cowboys. Folks with colored hair and folks with none at all. Kids still small enough to perch on their parents’ shoulders to watch Willie Nelson somehow pick and sing to a crowd at 92 years old. You’ll hear country, folk, funk, rock, blues, R&B, soul, electronic, and just about everything in between. You’ll find a lot of people hugging, dancing, laughing, crying, and singin’ while the newsman insists none of ’em get along. By sundown, nobody seems concerned with who’s supposed to belong to which tribe. We’re all just lookin’ to see some old friends, and make some new ones, too. Maybe that’s the point. 4 days in Austin felt like a lifetime …in the best way went to my favorite coffee shop 7 times (no judgment lol) hit PRs in my runs 💨 1/2, 1, and 2 mile saw old friends made some new ones got a spicy 🌶️ lil tattoo and got all of my workouts in…plus a few more

MEET YOUR TATTOOER: @maxradness MAX KLAPP “I started tattooing in 2010 in Southern California, learning a strong foundation in drawing and tattooing. I moved to Bellingham Washington in 2015 and furthered my learning at a street shop becoming verse in many styles. In 2020 I joined the family at Black Dagger and continue working hard and learning more everyday. BUT JOY comes in the morning! It was an honor shooting for @tmrwproject , a brand that focuses on mental health and suicide prevention. Its humbling to reflect on the experience of loved ones that have battled mental illness. In this season of my life, I’ve been focusing on vulnerability, emotional availability, and diving into depth in conversation. Easier said than done for an Enneagram 8. Grateful for the people in my life that have received me in that way, leaned in, and have created confidence in my vulnerability. Also thanks for letting us use your gym @hubreezeus_84 @undefinedchi !
