Mishta — The 2nd Racer 🐻
Collector’s Notes:

Mishta — a bear from Altai, born right after Anunkasan the orca.

Unity in diversity.

The goal of the project is to awaken a person’s interest in their own history, culture, geography, and anthropological roots.

Using mythology as a universal key, we demonstrate, visibly and directly, both the deep similarities and the unique differences between cultures.

This dialogue takes shape in the format of a collectible limited-edition sculpture — accessible art carrying meaning.

At the heart of the philosophy lies the idea of revival through self-identification: before others can understand you, you must first understand yourself.

Who were you?
Who are you?
Who do you want to be?

After visiting Japan and immersing myself in the work of craftsmen from different artistic traditions, visiting numerous exhibitions in my hometown of Saint Petersburg, communicating with masters of the past at the Hermitage, and getting to know contemporary masters, I came up with the idea of creating a cultural and educational project based on the ethnic toy.

Awakening an interest in the revival of culture.

At the heart of everything is the cultural code.

The toy is a bridge for transmitting the meanings and experience contained within that code.

A toy is a composition of perpetual action. That is precisely why, through the language of an animated character on a little machine, it becomes easier to convey meaning and value to an interested collector.
