Thanks everyone for finding your way to our 4th annual Meanwhile Summer Party.

An evening spent escaping the heat in our AC-cooled studio and catching a breeze on our sheltered rooftop. Thanks for another lovely one!

Notes from three days in Milan.

@stefansagmeister talking about beauty
with the calm of someone who has
nothing left to prove.

Workshops where you take notes
without even thinking.

Talks that kept going down the corridors.

And then the @dsgn.battle .
Two hours. A brief we’d never seen.
A jury that does the work.

We came home with more
than a trophy — with the quiet confirmation
that we’re in the right room.

Thanks to those who built this,
and to those who stopped to look closely.

OFFF Festival @offfest once again proved why it remains one of the most meaningful gatherings for the global creative community. More than a festival, it is a space where disciplines, studios, and voices converge, building connections and a shared sense of culture.

This year, our Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini @cosimolp and Debora Manetti @deboramanetti representing also our @typecampus department, took part in the experience, bringing our perspective as type designers and storytellers. Together with @patopato.tv we presented the fourth edition of #BINGOFF, continuing a project that playfully reflects on the rituals and dynamics of the creative process.

As a central hub for the community, OFFF naturally brings together hundreds of creative minds, including festival managers such as @forwardfestivals and @usbynightfest , creating a moment where different experiences intersect and contribute to a wider dialogue.

We return home with new connections, fresh energy, and the same drive to keep the conversation going. Thank you to everyone we met, hugged, high-fived, and font-geeked with. Special shoutout to the brilliant minds we crossed paths with @uncommon.creative.studio , @stashmedia.tv , @revthinkchief , @birgitpalma , @martinaflor , @adobelive , @tinatouli , and many more for the company, the laughter, the beers, and the inspiration.

Special congratulations to @pepsalazar for creating and developing an event that, year after year, keeps growing while remaining a true point of convergence for the design community.

See you next time!

2016, what a year.

I have mixed feelings about this whole meme. I don't like the sentiment it was the last good year but was a fantastic exercise just to see all the fun stuff I was up to a decade ago.

It was an eventful year. It was the year I became a California resident, it was the year I finally felt I landed the type of job and community I wanted, spent a few months in the Netherlands and got to see the alps and Barcelona.

Was working in a small upstart style office that was on the Venice Beach boardwalk, which used to be an apartment Jim Carrey lived in. Was catching the sunset every day and recognizing all the characters and legends from the boardwalk just people watching every day.

Made a lot of friends I still talk to today, and I'm happy to see they are all still doing well. It was the year I got back into riding a bike, something I hadn't done since elementary school, and it's one of my favorite joys today.

It was a great year for finding myself, but even more so finding community. With that I say its good to look back and appreciate 2016, but let's make the best out of every year. Love each other and look after your community, and an even better year is yet to come.
