POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

hi so i’m almost two months late to this but i lowk forgot to make a post for newsies so here’s that!!

Playing Jack Kelly in @riyouththeatre ’s production of Newsies Jr. was such a special experience and one of my favorite shows I’ve been in. Jack brought my dream of stage-yearning to life, which is a celebration in and of itself lol.

But the best part of this show, was not the show itself, but the people. I would never have looked back on this show with nearly as much fondness without the exceedingly loud lunches in the hallway, the backstage conversations and gossip, the cast party at Applebee’s where my brother got us kicked out of Five Below…. This show would mean nothing to me without these things and the people with which I got to experience them.

Of course this show would not at all have been possible without the staff at @riyouththeatre so a huge thank you to our incredible director Hana Toler, choreographer Emma Russo, music director Nancy Hillner, executive director Ann O’Grady, the entire tech crew, and the interns. Thank you all so much for the work you put into this show and every show.

I am so thankful for the incredibly talented cast of actors with whom I got the privilege to work on this show. I met so many new people whom I now consider friends, I grew closer to people whom I’d met but never really known, and I reunited with old friends I hadn’t seen in almost a year. This cast was such an incredibly talented group of people with whom I was so lucky to share this experience.

I love all of you so much.

- your Jack Kelly 🤍🩶🖤❤️

I had the pleasure of getting to do Trap as my last show at Cranston West. It was my last show on hair and makeup, and my first show on the cast. When I first looked at the cast list and saw Tamblyn (Tara) Grey and Gander Main, I was like “who the hell…” but these characters turned out to be a lot of fun and I loved playing them. Everyone that was a part of this show made it so special and I’m so grateful to have the memories. To my hair and makeup crew, I love you all and you will all do great things. Thank you for sticking with me, whether it be the past two shows or the past seven. High school would not have been the same without this amazing crew. A special thank you to @geweliana who will be taking over for me next year as the crew head. You’ll do so amazing, I’m so proud of you and can’t wait to come visit.

Crazy how 4 years just slips away in the blink of an eye. Sometimes I wish I could go back to relive some of the moments I didn’t fully relish in. Oh well looks like the only thing we can do is continue moving forward from here on out.

Can I Tell You a Secret?

Our Spring Production of Trap by Stephen Gregg has officially ended. Words cannot describe this show nor the experience I’ve had being a part of it. Most of us saw each other’s talent during Addams Family, but this show I saw each and every one of my castmates flourish and truly bring Menachap, California to life. I’m so proud of all of us and I can’t wait to see what comes next, whether that be in West Theater or not 🥹

Also a HUGE thank you to all of the crew members, who truly made this show possible. I got a VERY small peak into the life of a crew member by making the projections used throughout the show, and let me tell you- these people do not get enough credit. Every single piece of costumes, makeup, props, and set you see are only made possible by the dedication and talent of our crew members. These people MAKE THE SHOW POSSIBLE!

So, Trap has come to an end, marking the end of my junior year in theater. I grew so much because of it, made so many new friends, and I cannot wait for the next section of West theater.

I’m so happy and proud to have won this award. Thank you to my crew, the cast, and everyone else involved in this production. I’m so proud of us. The Addams Family was the best senior show I could ever ask for. It was so much fun to work with everyone involved and put together this absolutely amazing show. The ancestors may be gray but my memories of this show will forever be colorful and happy.

Kinda random but I want to make a post about these people. For the past 3 months I’ve had the pleasure of being the butler for @nevanmaselon @gorgeborge831 @kiara.twin @sienatwin18 @sofialeea_ and @shelbyy.baileyy and I love each and every one of these people! And although Lurch is The Addams Butler he is a part of the Addams Family as much as Gomez or Morticia! And I have something to say about all of you!
Gomez @nevanmaselon You are a incredible boss and friend throughout this production and I am so honored to get to see you shine as a actor and a singer in this role (that was just as cringey in my head saying it. I am so sorry) I knew from the moment Mr Santurri said we were doing this show you would get him and you did phenomenal! You are the best!
Morticia @gorgeborge831 You are an amazing actress, singer, and person! It has been such a pleasure getting to work with you during this production and I hope somehow there will be more!
Wednesday @kiara.twin *Grunting imitating a sloth on sedatives could move faster than you* but seriously when you first said that I almost died of laughter! You are so talented and you will do PHENOMENAL things with this theatre!
Pugsley @sienatwin18 I have never seen someone more dedicated to a role than you! Oh my god! You literally asked for me to pull you by the ear at the end and that was my 3rd favorite part of the show! You are so funny and you are going to also do great things with this company!
Uncle Fester @sofialeea_ She’s bald! She’s bald and she’s torturing people who have hair! Idk why I said that, it makes no sense with your character but it’s a funny bald quote and you were a funny bald man so it’s something? But in all seriousness you are an amazing Fester! You just do the funniest stuff with it and that’s amazing! Hopefully someday you will get to perform as a character with a normal speaking voice!
Grandmama @shelbyy.baileyy I knew from the moment you auditioned that you would be Grandmama! Not just because you were the only one who auditioned for her but also because you just embodied her!

I am running out of room but I just have to say I love you all and miss you. It’s Family First and Family Last! -Lurch
