I usually just write a 5 word caption or put a few emojis and call it a day. But for some reason, I wanted to put a little more effort into writing this today. August has been hard for me this year, and just this year in general, but I’m still so grateful for it as well.

What everyone puts on social media is only a portion of reality. That’s social media. We post the highlights of our lives, and not every single detail! I’m not exactly sure who needs to hear this but to anyone who put in the time to read this, you are not alone, no matter what you may be going through. Whether those issues involve loss, school, graduating, starting college, finance, family, heartbreak, lonliness, depression, anxiety, or sickness, you are not alone.

Thank you to everyone who has made this month, and year in general special. I personally think one of the things that makes life so worth living, even during the hardest time, are the people surrounding you. I’m so thankful to have such amazing friends around me (whether you were in this post or not bc I didn’t see a lot of people this august).

Don’t give up, you are not in this alone. Take each day at a time and remain thankful for the things and people you have around you! You are all amazing and Jesus loves you ❣️
