Can a building be designed with its eventual dismantling in mind?

“SOIL AND CULTURE,” the final project by Meira Ner-David and Maya Paul of the School of Architecture, explores earth as both a building material and a critical tool for rethinking construction and demolition practices in Israel.

Through the design of three buildings in Givat Herzl, Tel Aviv, the project proposes an alternative to the cycle of demolition and construction: an architecture that can change, be dismantled, and rebuilt in response to the evolving needs of people and place.
