This year’s birthday dinner was a romantic one by candlelight and it was amazing. The ambiance was amazing, the music by @mayapiata was so beautiful and the food was delicious. The cotton candy was the icing on the cake! My beloved husband knows me well and how to celebrate me! It was the perfect quiet celebration for just us!

I would highly recommend @thebloomloungebistro for their Bloom at Night Candlelight dinner. It’s so easy to fall in love here!

We closed last night out and started a new day today with immense gratitude.

Dallas and beyond, time and again you prove to us and to the youth we serve just how much they matter. This Momentum Live and North Texas Giving Day were no exception.

This final 1510 Momentum Live is a snapshot in time that created a ripple effect that will be felt in the new walls of our Flagship location in January, and it’s all because of you. We are better together.

To everyone who showed up, placed bids on our auction, donated, wished us well and all the many ways your support was felt: THANK YOU.

Gratefully,
Café Momentum Dallas

Okay, so we never got to post this. 😂🍽️

Right before Seat at the Table, Chef Jasmin Baker + Maya Piata recorded this little “Come On In!” invitation for y'all.

And then...we sold out. 😂

So inviting MORE people into a room with no more seats felt a little disrespectful. Lol.

But now that we've had a chance to come down from the evening, this felt like the perfect clip to pull from the archives before we show you what actually happened once everyone came in.

And for those of you who wanted a seat but couldn't get one...

Should we set the table again? 👀

If you want us to welcome you into the next Seat at the Table, let us know in the comments. ⬇️

The table was set. Dallas showed up. 🍽️✨
What started as an idea became a sold-out room filled with food, art, stories, laughter, reflection and real conversation.

At Seat at the Table: A Civic Culinary Experience, we journeyed through Roots, Resilience and Future, with each course creating space for something deeper than dinner.

We listened. We shared. We experienced live art. We talked about belonging, the neighborhoods we call home and the responsibility we each have in shaping what comes next.

And somewhere between the plates, performances and perspectives, strangers became tablemates.
That’s the kind of civic life we believe in at CivilizedX. Not something that only happens at City Hall, during an election or behind a podium. Sometimes, participation begins much more simply:
Sit down. Share a meal. Hear somebody’s story. Give your own.

Maybe the disconnect really is the disconnect.
Thank you to every chef, artist, civic voice, partner, volunteer and guest who helped us bring this table to life.

Every course told a story. Every guest had a voice. And Dallas took its seat.

A seat at the table means something different when you know you actually belong there.

That’s really what this whole experience is about for me.

Yes, we’re going to eat GOOD. 😂 There’ll be live music, spoken word, beautiful food and some surprises along the way.

But more than that, I wanted to create a space where we can actually sit across from one another, share stories, hear different perspectives and talk about matters that matter.

Not a panel. Not people talking at you.
You’re part of the experience. Your voice belongs at the table too.

This Saturday, we’re bringing just 60 people together for it.

Momentum Live! is simply… a vibe.

It’s the best showcase of everything we pour our hearts into all year: our youth, their joy, delicious food and community connection that leads to open doors for the young people we serve.

Added bonus: we have the privilege of inviting @mayapiata to grace our stage again this year (speaking of a VIBE)!

Tickets are selling fast and we don’t want you to miss your opportunity to pull up a seat at the table. Get yours today at the link in our bio!
