Eeeeek! WHERE to begin. Since I started doing this, I’ve had a very clear picture of what I wanted to do and why. I knew my creative work would shapeshift in subtle ways over time, and I knew I would grow in skill, but the principles and motivations that guide me and consequently shape the work remain the same. As @jennycipoletti put it so perfectly yesterday in the very beginning of a long car ride, my ikigai. 🤍 I’ve just been trying. Trying my best, trying to connect, trying to grow community, trying to love people, trying to make my dreams come true, trying to show my daughter what it means to be brave and motivated by something deep in your soul. The pursuit of beauty and goodness, with often very little time, but a whole lot of heart. And today, I’m officially published in a fine art magazine I’ve always admired, @thebelovedjournal. Three of my images, featuring @allybreakell, @klmags, and @evelina.shk, are in the Summer 2026 02 Issue. Best believe I will be buying many copies, and I hope you might too, if you’re into that sort of thing. 🤍 So many creatives poured themselves into this, @mayaroseephoto especially, and I cannot thank you enough for including me and allowing me, for the first time, to be a part of your celebration today. What I have appreciated specifically about Beloved Journal since the beginning is its distinct visual identity. Even while featuring the work of so many incredible artists, it still feels cohesive, deeply intentional, and incredibly also inclusive and open. The community built over there has always just been really lovely and supportive. The fruits certainly are good!

I’m going to brag a little here... because I am (not-so-secretly) incredibly proud of this! A third publication... a second time in the beautiful @thebelovedjournal. And all this just about a year after turning my greatest passion into my (side) business. Standing alongside such amazing photographers—people I’ve followed an

So honored to be featured in the winter issue of @thebelovedjournal, alongside inspiring photographers from all over the world. I’m represented by twelve images in total, INSANE! Drawn from three different series — two born from the deeply personal archive of my own family, and one created with a dear friend who welcomed premature twins into the world. Each series carries its own name, its own story. These photographs are vulnerable, intimate, and true. A heartfelt thank you to @mayaroseephoto and the beloved team for their trust, and for giving family photography the stage it truly deserves. Reminding the world that it’s not about perfect smiles, but about honest art.
