Shakespeare & Company Summer Shakespeare Intensive 2025 with @shakeandcoactortraining. These 4 weeks were nothing short of life-changing. Thank you for the opportunity to fail, learn, and grow in this incredible place with such lovely humans to support me. The biggest thank you to every faculty member who helped me along my journey with compassion, wisdom, and kindness (and never judged my excessive tissue usage). And thank you to this amazing cohort of actors who made me happily want to spend 13 hours a day doing Shakespeare :). I have never felt more confused and frustrated but also I’ve never felt so free, unlimited, and inspired. I am eternally grateful for this gift of time, exploration, and knowledge. Thank you @shakeandco

Moments from Lenox

So grateful to have briefly encountered the magic they foster at @shakeandcoactortraining . The insight, vigor, and empathy of my cohort and faculty fuel my fire. I cherish them and these memories deeply.

Onto the next xx #portiaisdead

For the month of June, I was transported to the Berkshires of Massachusetts and the whimsical land of Shakespeare & Company! While on paper, I was a participant in their Summer Shakespeare Intensive, I learned how to be myself again. One day, I ate a grapefruit rage-fully in a field! Thank you so much to the staff, faculty, and volunteers at Shakespeare and Company. Thanks to their work I was able to feel grounded and playful, filled with excitement and soothed by nature. (Seriously, the nature and Theaters at S&Co are some of my new most calming spots. Thank you to facilities, volunteers, custodial staff, and workshop management for making that happen SO seamlessly.) Thank you to faculty and my fellow adventurers for all of the kind words, hugs, and late night wondering wanderings. I learned so much from all of you. I MISS YOU! I am so excited to bring more of who I was and am becoming to life, Shakespeare, and beyond.

Thank you @shakeandcoactortraining for the incredible opportunity to dive into villainy!
You challenged me to stretch, risk, and find the humanity in the most treacherous of kings, and I’m so grateful for it.

“Hard to seem won, but I was won my Lord…” -Troilus and Cressida

A little over one month ago I completed the 2025 Shakespeare and Company month-long summer intensive.

Roughly 270 or so hours were spent training our voices, bodies, brains and souls to perform Shakespeare’s text.

The pedagogy was unlike anything else I’ve experienced. For all of us to be recognized as individuals and be welcomed into the room in all of our unique, messy, complex, beautiful ways - and to be seen in our authenticity, and be invited to bring those authentic selves to our work was truly memorable and necessary.

So much more I could say but it would be impossible to fit inside of an Instagram caption, so all you really need to know is: the program was in fact intense and Shakespeare was indeed performed.

I couldn’t have asked for a better cohort or instructors to go through the process with 💕

And so it is… the Summer Shakespeare Intensive of 2025

To the 34 brilliant humans who breathed, stretched, released, evolved, died, danced Elizabethan, fought, and clowned beside me; thank you for tickling my mind and heart with your presence. I’d do it all again in a heartbeat if it meant another 12-hour day with you all.

Stay playful. Stay curious.

Endless thanks to @shakeandcoactortraining for selecting me as a Dennis Krausnick Fellow and gifting me this incredible opportunity to dive deep into Shakespeare’s works. What a gift it’s been to grow inside the words and beside all of you.
