That’s a wrap on the Heart Opening 10-day meditation retreat at @lagraciamx with Venerable Tejassi. 🤍 For ten days, we gave ourselves over to hours upon hours of inquiry, cultivating heart sensitivity, slowing down to a halt, and feeling into the very core of our individual and collective human suffering. And somewhere in the stillness, something softened. 🌿 Grateful for the sincerity and devotion of this group Until we meet again. 🙏 Buddha - Dhamma - Sangha 💎💎💎

To take 10 days for silent meditation and retreat out of one's schedule is an act of honor and self love. It is a privilege. This whole practice and training of quieting the proliferations of the mind is an act of self love. Clearing away all the illusions- and there are a lot- so that one can see that at the origin, it's all love. We sensitize, which can be scary, but remember that lessons and love are at the origin of all of those emotions. Meditation, maintaining alertness and presence free of distractions is not easy. It's also the best way to combat everything our phones are teaching us about attention. I find it so curious when people react to, "10 days in silence!" Because I love the silence. The rest. Time offline. (fotos taken before and after) For so many reasons, I recommend a meditation retreat to everyone 🤍
