One time, I asked my elder sister what I was like as a child growing up, and she said, “You were very introverted. You liked to keep to yourself. Even when you got invited to conventions, you would just keep to yourself and never really share whatever was happening with you.”

And honestly, over the years, I’ve watched that narrative slowly change.

Somewhere along the way, I built a community. I built a village. I found people who became home. And I can confidently say, I don’t walk alone anymore.

This phase of my life, this journey into motherhood, I did not do it alone.

I had friends constantly checking in on me, hospital visits, random visits at home just to make sure I was okay, calls, messages, food, prayers, laughter, and people who showed up in ways I didn’t even know I needed.

And then there’s my superhero, my husband. My safe place, my biggest support system, the person who was right there through every appointment, every worry, every uncomfortable night, every little kick, every decision, every moment.

Watching this video, I realise that pregnancy gave me more than a baby. It reminded me of the kind of life I’ve built around myself.

A life where people show up.
A life where I am loved loudly.
A life where I have a village.

The little girl who once kept everything to herself somehow grew into a woman surrounded by so much love.

And for that, I am deeply, deeply grateful. 🤍

My baby came into a village, and I couldn’t have asked for a better one.

The end of an era for me

After 5 years and over a 100 Groupchats after, Its time to say farewell to the love of my life @thehookng

It's been a surreal 5 years of building, creating, teaching, structuring, restructuring, talking, Doing, learning, unlearning, brainstorming, pitching, winning, laughing, playing, dancing, singing, joking, yabbing and hooking up🌚

In 5 years, I’ve grown, challenged myself, found friends that I know my kids would be friends with their kids, fallen in love with ideas and even gotten my heart broken more than a few times.

In 5 years, i think I've done it all- mostly lol. From bringing client, to wining pitches, to training teams, to mass hiring.

Its been 5 years of doing and I'm more than ever grateful to the partners, for trusting me that I won't lead the team astray😹 and
for always seeing what I see in myself and allowing me fly.

To the clients, friends, wellwishers, frenemies and even demons in disguise, thank you.

It's been beautiful 5 years but now the Holyspirit is leading me to a new path.
