“the Kore of our womanhood: Persephone’s Story” 🥀

i can’t believe our rehearsal process has come to an end. i am so grateful to have been granted this opportunity and work with this amazing group. i have been developing this specific piece for just over a year, been applying since 2024, and dreamt of choreographing for a Lossein Playhouse Production since my first month at ECU. here is a little accumulation of my favorite videos from choreography labs, my applications, and rehearsals to give insight on this process. happy night one of tech week!!! 🖤

thank you to my mentor for this project @jessinamst for all your guidance and my choreographic teacher @johndadixon for all your wisdom🤍

come out and support Once Upon a Dance!

“Internal Groove”🧡🪩🎶

To me, I feel like I’ve always had this internal groove that can’t help but bubble up in moments of pure fun and silliness. Whether it’s singing my heart out in the shower or breaking out into a mini dance party in the mirror while I’m getting ready. It’s letting loose, being silly, and embracing the fun and joy that comes naturally. Those moments remind me that life doesn’t always have to be serious—sometimes, it’s about finding your own rhythm and enjoying it.🩷🧡💛

I am so excited to share this with you all!!! This film is so special to me I couldn’t be more grateful for each of my talented dancers! You brought so much light and your fun energy was contagious!! I love you guys so much and thank you for doing this with me!!!🩷

Choreography: Me:) and my amazing cast!
Dancers: Hayden Baugh, Julia Costigan, Shelby Evans, Hannah Lowe, Sherri McLean, Skylar Moss, Sarah O’Leary, Emma Sisti, Mayson Watson
