in a blink of an eye, two dedicated and talented young coordinators turned a bruised new york apple into a juicy georgia peach.

if you know you know, but if you don’t let me tell you. i took a leap of faith and participated in the Miss Iota Phi Theta pageant scholarship.

did i win, nope and that’s okay!! there is a me specific photo that was posted and it’s because i won “BEST TALENT” and well all know it’s because my accent is TOOOOO SEXY!! but it’s because a special someone saw i wasn’t showcasing my full potential.

from the day of my interview @galleryofmina and @futuredrmoore saw a young woman i didn’t, and i thank them so much for allowing this baby bird to spread her wings and fly.

i couldn’t have done this without my SEVEN MARVELOUS pageant sisters!! and this wouldn’t have been done without the HARD KNOCK BROTHERS OF THE YARD!!! for showing what it is to be a TRUE gentleman.

i won seven beautiful sisters. i won a family. i won strength and confidence.

i made it known my mama was the only who was going to show. i was surprised by my BESTIE since the FOURTH grade. a photo that started off as just my BUILD Leaders, became FLOODED by the members of the chapter. that’s because true family isn’t by blood, but by those who uplift you. those who don’t dim your light and NEVER stops you from shining.

i may not be GSU’s Miss Iota Phi Theta, but i am the Bronx’s Miss Iota Phi Theta. i am Kejhauni Jones’ Miss Iota Phi Theta, and Still I Rise.

I’m still in awe & standing in deep appreciation from coordinating the 2025 Miss Iota Phi Theta Scholarship Pageant this past Sunday alongside my incredible friend Amina Sarr @galleryofmina and the top-tier men of the Zeta Chi Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.! ✨ Thank you, @gsu.iotas , for trusting me with this honor. To the Zeta Chi brothers—working with you was an absolute pleasure; your support and spirit lifted us all. To all the contestants—watching you grow and blossom has been the greatest gift; your journeys are forever in my heart, and I can’t wait to see how high you’ll soar. And Amina, your professionalism and drive over these past few months have inspired me beyond words—thank you for everything! ❤️🎓 #MissIotaPhiTheta #ScholarshipPageant #ZetaChi @zxmissiotaphitheta

Dearest Gentle Reader,

The veil has been lifted, and the moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived—the eight illustrious young ladies competing in the 2025 Miss Iota Phi Theta Scholarship Pageant have been revealed.

Each one enters the season with grace, beauty, and a spark that promises an unforgettable competition. As their names grace the lips of society and their poise captures every gaze, one question lingers. Who shall claim the crown?

Keep your eyes wide and your whispers hushed, for the games have most certainly begun.

Ever watchful,
Lady Whistledown
