Solo mission to go meet the legendary @marthacoopergram last night at @bronxdocumentarycenter. Martha been an inspiration for me since I was a teenager. Her work captures lightning in a bottle and continues to be celebrated. A true documentarian. Got her photo and a signed copy of her book “Subway Art”. Met a lot of dope people last night, if you see someone not tagged, tag em in the comments. 🎯📸

Unsettled Scores Records are proud to present our latest release, 2 more tracks from the legendary 1988 graffiti documentary Bombin’ by @brim1tatscru and David Toop, on limited edition vinyl for the first time ever!! 💥🔥💥
Follow the link in our bio to pre-order now (vinyl shipping April 7th 2026).

The A-Side: Bombin’ (Original Version – 7” Edit)
Following our 2024 release of the Vocal Mix (USR45-002), this 7” unveils the true original version, recorded during Brim’s 1985 visit to the UK. This previously unheard vocal take did not feature in the documentary; only the instrumental section heard later in this version was used on screen. Backing vocals on this track also feature legendary TATCRU member @biotatscru

The B-Side: Graffiti In The Dark:
Recorded in 1987 during the completion of the documentary, David Toop’s atmospheric, downtempo composition serves as the opening theme to Bombin’.
Avant-garde textures are layered over heavyweight drum machine rhythms.

Remastered from a recently uncovered cassette in David Toop’s personal archive, these recordings re-emerge as a vital document of early UK-US Hip Hop exchange.

The mighty Exile aka @muster0ne did an amazing job of not only designing the sleeve for this release but doing a complete digital redraw of the iconic Bombin’ piece!! 🔥🙌🔥

Bombin’ - The Documentary:
The film follows Brim’s 1985 journey from The Bronx to the UK, where he forged early connections with future cultural icons including @mrgoldie and @robert3delnaja aka 3D of Massive Attack. Set against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving UK Hip Hop
scene, Bombin’ also sheds light on the riots and protests that erupted in response to systemic racism and police violence in Britain’s inner cities.

You can watch the full documentary now on the Unsettled Scores Records YouTube channel.
