First off wanna say thanks to God for keeping us all safe. All the MBG fighters came out with a win against 3 tough opponents. Taking three belts back home with us. Austin is on a roll with getting the best fighter of the night in his last 3 fights. Good job to all the fighters!! Thank you @knuckleheadsboxinggym for having us. Back to Utah

Remembering you Thayne on your birthday. We were blessed to have you as part of the MBG Family with your enthusiasm and optimism. The month of July is always a hard time for us the Garcia’s. For those who know us, we lost Maximus on this month, and the loss of you and your family has ached more. We will always remember you and honor you at Maximus Boxing Gym, your light sparked a stronger purpose to fight for the angels above…Maximus, Luis Flores, Danny Temkin, Thayne Long and more angels. Happy birthday Thayne!

HOW USA BOXING SCORING WORKS
🥊Understanding the “10-Point-Must” System used in amateur Olympic-style boxing.

Every round is scored individually by ringside judges based on skill, clean punching, ring control, and effective performance.

🔹 10–9 Round
A close, competitive round where one boxer has a slight edge through cleaner punches, timing, offense, or ring control.

🔹 10–8 Round
A clear difference in performance. Often awarded when a boxer dominates exchanges or scores a knockdown.

🔹 10–7 Round
Rare. Total domination throughout the round with overwhelming control and effectiveness.

👀 WHAT JUDGES LOOK FOR:

🥊 Quality Blows
Clean, effective punches landed on legal target areas.

🥊 Domination
Controlling the pace and dictating the action.

🥊 Competitiveness
Responding effectively and creating offense.

🥊 Technical & Tactical Superiority
Defense, ring IQ, positioning, and making opponents miss.

USA Boxing scoring rewards:
✔️ Skill
✔️ Accuracy
✔️ Control
✔️ Effective Aggression
✔️ Ring IQ
