It’s officially kitten season! Which means @wowhiskers is drowning in orphan kitten and pregnant mom intake requests. We currently have these babies (plus a few more) without foster homes that desperately deserve them. These pictures include dinner time fiasco with the Beetles babies and Penelope and Winston (the beautiful dark tabbies) from last night. I’m always on my soapbox about spaying, neutering, and spay aborts but I am especially during this time of year 💔

Dolce decided to pose with the @wowhiskers sign in the background on Thursday night so I had to get some pictures of her and her sister, Prada. 💜

“They are now fully vetted and taking applications. They are big girls and still growing as they are just 3. Maine Coons can grow until they are 5 years old.

PRADA is 19ish pounds and had a squinty eye, which we are sure was considered a birth defect by breeder standards. Those turned out to be a bigger concern and she needed double entropion eye surgery to remove the eyelashes growing into her eyes.

DOLCE, the flame point, is 14ish pounds and on the small side for her breed. Her fur is the fine kind that mats just by looking at her. She will require weekly grooming.
Maine Coons are expensive to purchase and expensive to own. Diet, lifestyle and grooming are not cheap.

They need good room INSIDE a home to exercise. They are seeking a physically and financially stable adult home owner in Southwest Missouri with 5+ years cat owner experience, who perhaps has experience with their breed. They started out NOT very cuddly. With our love and attention, they are blossoming. One day they may be lap cats, but they are definitely picky about their affection and who they choose to shower with it.

No real tiny humans or households with other pets need apply. Think calm, relaxed adult home where the two QUEENS can reign.
Sharing IS Caring.
Let’s get them a #homefortheholidays, TOGETHER.

PS - They have fallen in love with the Christmas cat tree in our online auction. Perhaps someone will love the girls and their favorite tree?”

Shop at B&N today and tell them it’s for Watching Over Whiskers (WOW) and this kitty rescue will get 5%-10% of ALL sales. Please consider helping homeless kitties. This rescue is run by my long-time friend and we’ve adopted two kitties from them. This is a wonderful charity.
