There are so many people to thank for making McKenzie’s graduation party yesterday so beautiful:

Momma, having you by my side was truly priceless. Cooking dirty rice and potato salad together was a highlight, but it’s your love, support, laughter (and those quiet happy tears) that mean the world to me. Thank you for everything, even the things you give me that you might not realize. The Lord knows, and so do I.

Malonna…my cousin, my sister, my friend! Thank you for the stunning chocolate-dipped pretzels, the beautiful photos, and for being my calm, strong right hand through it all.

Jessica Jessbra Johnson, my sister, thank you for the two amazing pound cakes and that delicious peach cobbler, all baked with so much love! Thank you for being such a meaningful part of McKenzie’s village.

Bonita Kleinpeter, my sister, thank you for the famously delicious mac and cheese! We got so many compliments on it, as usual! And thank you for being my prayer warrior who is a praying member of McKenzie’s village!

Teirreah, niece, your balloon garland was EVERYTHING! Thank you for sharing your beautiful talent with us!

Amber, thank you, friend for the personalized items that made the centerpieces extra special and meaningful.

Shenei Allen Williams your cookies were not only beautiful but absolutely delicious! The sweetest touch to mark McKenzie’s new beginning.

Dr. Brister and Sugar Land Pecan Orchard, thank you for the mouthwatering, personalized pralines. Everyone LOVED them!

Kimberly Jackson, your eye for photography is pure talent. I’m still in awe of McKenzie’s senior pictures…thank you for capturing her so beautifully.

Our hearts are full, and we’re so grateful. Here’s to McKenzie, to the village who helped raise her, and to the journey ahead!

I’ve been feeling so many BIG emotions lately that it’s hard to put them into words! But I didn’t want too much time to pass without sharing, or I might forget the very thing I’m trying to say 🤣🤣🤣.

These past two weeks of celebrating our baby girl, McKenzie Franklin, have been nothing short of incredible and yesterday’s graduation party was the perfect finale! We are beyond proud of everything you’ve accomplished academically, mentally, and spiritually, and we can’t wait to see the plans God has in store for your future!

Darcy Franklin , this parenting journey has been AMAZING because we’ve done it together. I can’t believe we’ve raised (and are still raising) two incredible high school graduates… are we really that old?! 😄

Our mother/grandmother stepping out! I was told that she line 💃🏽 her heart out! I am so grateful to see our mother able to go and have herself a good time! Lord, please continue to keep her in her in perfect peace. Continue to keep her in her right mind and strengthen her daily to be able to do all that she has a desire to do (looking after the sick and shut in, prepare meals for those who she knows are in need of and praying for those who come to her).
