The perfect end to our work week was a Friday date night with the Casases at @kobujax. 😍 Chef Tuna, Sam, Jorge and team were the kindest and are so passionate at what they do! Thank you for a little convo and a wonderful evening. 🍣 #sushi #kobujax #jacksonvillefl #sanmarcojax

Our June book club read was a classic. Which one? Readers choice! Some of us loved our classic, some of us DNF’d it.

When was the last time you read a classic?
Here are a few of the books we read and discussed:
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
Dracula by Bram Stocker
The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie by Muriel Spark
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas
Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier
East of Eden by John Steinbeck
100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne
Beloved by Toni Morrison
The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson

Homeseeking, we absolutely loved it. A beautifully honest and hopeful story about longing for home, family, and lost love. The perfect read for AAPI Month.

Did we actually talk about the book this week? Not a lot, but that’s ok too!!! We have become a little family and we always have room for more! Next month is “You Killed Me First” by John Marrs! Location TBD

We had the best time today at @its_in_the_dnacoffee discussing “The Missing Half” by Ashley Flowers! Joey even graced us with her presence as the official book club dog of the day!!! Hope to see you next month ladies!!!

Hands down the most fun we’ve ever had at book club! We all enjoyed this book so much and so many of us could relate to a crazy road trip.

Thank you, Taylor for hosting!
