@mccallhoylebooks stopped by @readitagainbooks to sign some books! Seeing McCall is always a treat. She brightens up the bookstore even when she's not wearing neon pink! 🩷🐶📚

Author visits are so fun (and so worth all the work)! McCall Hoyle was a delight to have and our students were pumped to have one of our Battle of the Book authors come talk to them. They made their own dog characters (to match what she does in her books) from directed drawing videos, gave them names, and even wrote the first sentence of the book they might someday write about that character to welcome her. To say she loved them, would be an understatement.

“Our SSYRA readers had a barklicious Zoom chat with the author of “Forever Ripley”, McCall Hoyle. We ate “puppy chow” and asked questions, learning so much more about the writing process and the author’s love of dogs! What an exciting time we had, celebrating our success at passing the AR test, after having read this exceptional book. We look forward to the next SSYRA author ZOOM chat…bark if you plan to join us!” - Mrs. Young #readingtime📖 #SSYRA2026 #cgeeagles🦅 #vcssuccessstories #vcsfamily

I love teaching kids how to write their own stories! Librarians rule. 🥰📚 Check out this Iron Giant Robot tree the librarian made. 🌳 Love it! I’ll be at BookFest at Syracuse High School, tomorrow, Wednesday Sept 23rd from 4-6pm. Then back to the farm I go. 😅💪🏻#authorlife #mgbooks #middlegradebooks #syracuse #librarian @shadowmountainpub

Day 2 with author McCall Hoyle was nothing short of amazing! All 5th graders were treated to a writing lesson with her, and our students were hanging on her every word eager to practice what they learned!

Students who read Forever Ripley were invited to a special book club. A full hour was not nearly enough time for all of the questions and conversations these 29 students had! 📕 ❤️ 🐕 @mccallhoylebooks @mta_marlins
