Pace Short.

Rules were made to be broken. Our prime directive for our active collection has always been to design garments that could be worn for function and for style at the same time; the Pace Short is probably the only style we make that serves a functional purpose only. As we wear tested our first few seasons, it became clear that we needed a short that could do a little bit more. Something for the gym, something for a HIIT class, something to put up a 10 mile long run in with room for keys and fuel. The Pace Short is purpose built for all these activities and more.

Every detail of the Pace Short has been thoughtfully considered to make you forget that they're on; they should make what you're doing easier rather than be a distraction. We've put lots of effort into the waistband, for instance, to ensure that it gives the short structure and holds the garment in place without being intrusive. Another careful consideration is the material: we use liner material with Aerosilver nanocoating to combat sweat smells.

Within fashion, there's been a lot of conversation about brands using synthetic materials to lower garment costs and we fully agree that this is a regrettable practice. When it comes to performance, though, synthetics can do things natural fibers simply cannot. You don't want to be running for an hour in soaked cotton shorts. We made a video last year talking about the value that comes with synthetics as long as they're used thoughtfully and sparingly. Our eye towards sustainability in this part of our collection is to design carefully and to never overproduce.
