It’s been a SUMMER.

Starting off with the positives—some absolutely fulfilling dancing with the wonderful Gabrielle Lamb and a little rehearsal footage with the lovely Billy Blanken. Had a lovely month helping Assistant Direct UBSI with my all-star RA team, had my high school reunion (fly high, Pegasi), got to go to Alaska to visit my new big sister and her beautiful family, went to the BAAND performance for the first time with my favorite twins, got surprise-visited by my other new big sister, got to see some insane Broadway shows, and celebrated sweet Mic and Jon’s wedding with not one but TWO dates to dance with!!!

Started to feel some sharp ankle pain at the end of April, got an MRI and…….

Guess who’s getting her os trigonum removed next week!!?! Felt like there was a rock in my ankle for the last few months…and there actually was. GO FIGURE. Some lil bone spurs and bone bruising has taken me out of dancing this summer, and though I am devastated, I’m grateful to have a plan in place to move forward. Missing @queensballetcollective and @pigeonwingdance and already ready to be back in class and rehearsals asap. 🥹

I am FEELING FEELS not dancing for the majority of this summer and for the next couple of months post surgery. BUT! I’m injured, not dead, and life will flourish in new ways. Send your favorite injury activities my way. Twinning with @maddwoo and @avarose_dillon is all at once an honor and a bummer. Could be better, and could be so much worse. Grateful for every day. Love you, mean it! Bye!!!! 👋🏼
