On 1/17 @blackwaterpdx for JonnyFest, I’ll be playing with Clorox Girls and Deadly Weapons. Dead Weaps were me @tinathebandofficial @mcdermottguitars and @larryrickets . In the early 2000s when I was in trouble with local authorities awaiting a court date, Larry Rickets wrote me a letter asking if I wanted to join his new band with Tina from The Trashwomen and The Bobbyteens. As soon as the charges were reduced to disorderly conduct and my community service hours completed, I was on a Greyhound to San Francisco with $300. A year or so later Tina met Jonny and the rest is herstory.

By the way, the band is named after a 1974 flick that I still need to see. Description via Alice In Videoland:

“She doesn’t have breasts, she has Deadly Weapons! When gangsters kill her boyfriend, the eye-popping, excessively endowed Chesty Morgan seeks revenge with two of the most incredible weapons ever seen on the motion picture screen: her 73-inch breasts! Miss Morgan (billed here simply as “Zsa Zsa”), an Israeli stripper whose gigantic, watermelon-sized bust is downright scary, plays Crystal, a “successful advertising executive,” who tracks down the men who offed her lover and smothers them by shoving their faces into her copious cleavage! All of which leads up to a bizarre, mind-boggling surprise ending. A completely deranged cult classic.”

2025 Part 2! Happy New Year!

Kinda hard to describe a year in 10 fotos but the first one does a pretty good job. I’m grateful for the roof over my head, food in my stomach, hot water, electricity, work, playing music again, my dogs Batman & Lulu, my friends, family, exes, my therapist, my heart working again, my health, creative energy, and a plan to get out of debt haha. 2025 was a rough year w fires, ICE, politics, wars, some real human suffering. Grateful for music, outsider art and artists, storytelling, and the subversive art of poetry. RIP Jonny Cat and Devin Jorgenson and everyone else we lost this year. More on Devin soon, I’m still processing. That was a bit long in the tooth. Love you all! ❤️ 🤟🏼Here’s to kicking ass and taking names in 2026.

I think my first US show doing standup was in 2001 opening for the legendary Zeke aka @zekeband at @magicstickdet. Thanks to Mark and the boys for having me, and to @dirtyghosts and @mcdermottguitars for making it happen! RIP Sonny. Some of these pics may from when we saw them there with Supersuckers, I’m not sure which is which.

I feel like the show happened shortly after 9/11? A heckler yelled “Don’t quit your day job”…to which I replied “it’s night” with the quickness. Xoxo
