Walk With Purpose is a powerful example of what happens when students lead with compassion and purpose.

This student-led event, organized by Marilyn Greenfield, gives students the opportunity to take ownership of the experience by helping to plan and coordinate the many elements that bring this day to life.
From the 5K walk to games, food, music, alumni activities, and family fun, the day brought our community together around a shared purpose, raising awareness, showing support, and making a meaningful impact for the Heidi Hewes Foundation. @heidiheweswca
Every step, every activity, and every person who participated helped move us closer to greater awareness, hope, and a future without pediatric cancer.

What an amazing thing it is to have a local school bring its community together for such an important cause! 💗

A HUGE thank you to @miami_country_day_school for organizing Walk With Purpose 2026 and choosing the Heidi Hewes Chapter of the Woman’s Cancer Association of the University of Miami as a beneficiary of the funds raised.

As a volunteer-driven organization, we work year-round to raise funds supporting cancer research, patient care, and education through the University of Miami. Events like this help us continue that mission, and knowing that our local community is behind us makes it even more meaningful.

To the students, families, faculty, volunteers, and everyone who walked, donated, and participated, THANK YOU! We are honored to be part of such a generous and caring community. 💗🎀

Some of the most meaningful moments are the ones that come full circle. ❤️💙

At Miami Country Day School, we love seeing our alumni return to campus and share the Spartan experience with the next generation. Little Spartans Corner is a celebration of that connection, bringing families together for an afternoon of play, creativity, laughter, and community.

Join us for Little Spartans Corner and celebrate what it means to stay connected to the MCDS family, generation after generation.

For Phelana Pang ’93, giving back to Miami Country Day School is a way to support the same kind of community that helped her discover her passions and pursue them with purpose.

As an alumna, Phelana carries a deep love for learning and for helping others grow as learners and leaders. She believes in nurturing students’ curiosity, encouraging their enthusiasm, and creating opportunities that help them find what inspires them.

Join Phelana in making a difference on September 24 for Spartans Give Day. Your gift directly supports the experiences that help our students and faculty grow, lead, and flourish. By giving, you help us continue our promise to provide an exceptional educational experience for every Spartan.

Looking back on where we started to where we are now can sometimes sadden the Soul.

Today's Miami (World) has become an outward reflection of Wealth Hoarding, Greed, & Lies.

Let's continue the works towards a Miami (World) where Quality of Life for All Living Things is priority.

Let's not forget to Live and Reflect - Love, Gratitude, Authenticity, & Happiness

Let's not make up History but be a part of creating it!

Summer university break brought me a particular pleasure right after Father’s Day. My daughter, Alessia, here from London, came into the operating room and created this sketch during an open shoulder reconstruction, while I was also performing live - during the biweekly #LiveSurgeryTuesday. You can follow her amazing work on her IG page #prouddadmoment❤️ #surgeryisart
