✨🔢 Promethean Remix Alert! 🔢✨
Inspired by @mcedolinithompson s “Number in My Pocket” game, I created a digital version using the Explain Everything Whiteboard on the Promethean ActivPanel!
This interactive number sense activity encourages students to use logic, reasoning, and number relationships to identify the mystery number. Best of all, it’s quick to create and easy to reuse for future lessons.
🛠️ How I built it in Explain Everything Whiteboard:✅ Tap Add Media and import a 120 chart.
✅ Use the Text Tool to type your mystery number and place it behind the chart.
✅ Adjust the layers and bring the 120 chart to the front to hide the number.
✅ As students make guesses, use the Highlighter Tool to eliminate numbers and narrow down the possibilities.
✅ When it’s time for the reveal, use the Image Eraser Tool to uncover the hidden number underneath.
💡 The Explain Everything Whiteboard makes it easy to transform hands-on classroom favorites into engaging digital experiences while saving valuable prep time.
Have you tried a Promethean remix of a favorite classroom activity? Share your ideas in the comments! 👇

It’s July, and that means summer is in full swing! This month brings so much to celebrate and reflect on—it’s National Ice Cream Month, Disability Pride Month, and Bereaved Parents Awareness Month.

To honor these important themes, I created a special picture book calendar filled with stories that highlight joy, inclusion, resilience, and healing. These thoughtfully chosen books offer meaningful ways to engage children in conversations that matter, all while celebrating the sweetness and sunshine of summer.

Drop a 🏖️ for the 🔗’s.

July is a month filled with important observances and celebrations, including Disability Pride Month, Bereaved Parents Awareness Month, National Safety Month, and National Ice Cream Month. Additionally, the excitement of the 2024 Olympics adds a special touch to this vibrant month.

To honor these diverse themes, I have created a calendar of picture books that highlight and celebrate each occasion. This curated selection aims to raise awareness, foster understanding, and bring joy through stories that resonate with these significant events.

Whether it’s exploring stories of resilience, learning about safety, enjoying delightful tales about ice cream, or getting inspired by Olympic athletes, these picture books offer something special for everyone.

As i looked for books to stack for my friends' children, this book caught my eye, and the message was great, too.

📚Anything is Popsicle message of perseverance
Author Maria Cedolini Thompson and Illustrated by Daria Shamolina

Messages that teach valuable lessons about perseverance, determination, and the power of hard work. It promotes positive values and can help children to develop important life skills and attitudes from a young age.

Check out the new book by @mcedolinithompson 🥰 This book is the sweetest story to let kids know it’s ok (and even great) to make mistakes! The book helps to build kids confidence by letting them know that mistakes are gifts and that’s how we can tell our brain is growing. Illustrated by the amazing @daria_shamolina who showcases adorable characters and visually brings the story to life. This book is a great addition for any early childhood classroom. #mistakes #brainpower #childrensauthors #childrensbooks #illutration
