the love i have for this team is one i can’t explain, these people have molded me into the person i am today and have been my bestest friends, i don’t know what i would do or who i would be without them. i am so grateful to have been blessed with amazing coaches and teammates who share the same love of the sport as me. i am going to miss this program so much, and i can’t wait to see what the future brings for the underclassman. i can’t believe how fast 4 years of cross country has gone by. thank you to every person who made this sport the highlight of my highschool career. i love you all endlessly.

I wish I knew exactly how to sum up the past 6 years of varsity cross country in a paragraph, but rarely ever do words capture the joy I have for it, so I’ll leave it at this: grateful is an understatement. Surpassing every feeling of frustration, exhaustion, and fear is the purest form of love I have for this sport. Running, in every aspect of it, is the most vulnerable thing I’ve put myself through. There are risks that can’t be calculated, losses that must be endured, and failure that feels so big that it makes you question if your suffering is without purpose. But even if I never PR’ed again, or raced with complete confidence, or made my younger self proud, I would never regret loving it, because loving it made me who I am.❤️
