What a great night in one of my favourite cities on the planet!
A terrific, sell-out crowd at the lovely @tivolitheatreaberdeen (part-owned by @alex.mcleish1 apparently) with a few pals - including @richardgordonmedia & @mrsanntheasimpson alongside my chum @derren13 (who took this video of the audience) and a some of the @aberdeenfc boys including my old @motherwellfc mates @stephencraigan & Brian Kerr - joining me in the green room for a couple of drinks.
Then Neil from @pcs_scotland whisked me back down the road in his cracking motor - check out his Insta page if you fancy travelling in style.
It's Hamilton tonight (Thurs) and Greenock on Saturday - check the link in my bio for any remaining tickets - to wrap up Week Two of the tour.

So sorry to hear of the passing of the great Kevin Keegan. Had the pleasure of working with him on several occasions and he was always very entertaining, very funny and (crucially in front of Scottish audiences) very self-deprecating. His No.1 quality, though, is that he was just a lovely person. My condolences to his wife Jean, his family and all his friends & fans. PS. He wisnae a bad singer either...!

So that’s it…

After 38 days my World Cup journey has come to an end…and what a journey it was!

- Across 9 cities
- 8 States
- 2 countries
- 9 matches (including one semi-final)
- 9 airports (some multiple times!)
- And thousands and thousands of miles travelled

What a run…and what an experience!

From all the work produced, the content created, the people, the fans, the stadiums, the staff, the food, the adventures and the laughs…it’s the stuff of legend!

Thank you to talkSPORT for the incredible opportunity and special thanks to @nlsawyer @isabel_minter @mcghee.mark @joeshennan for welcoming me into their fantastic team for the knock out rounds!

And of course… to my tournament travel buddy @shebahn_ for putting up with me (and my driving/ticket machine incompetence), and for making the weeks away from home so rewarding.

It was worth the hours spent coming up with ideas in cars, bars and restaurants for all the great content we produced!

Back to reality now…with a new season coming soon! It never stops and we love it! 😍

Brilliant day in the company of a proper football legend - former @aberdeenfc @spursofficial @fcbarcelona @hibernianfootballclub & @scotlandnationalteam star Steve Archibald - at the @officialkeithfc annual lunch in the splendid @thechesterhotel in Aberdeen (one of my favourite cities in the world). Great to see so many old faces from my numerous trips to the stunning north-east and sincere thanks to a great audience (especially the Prosecco-sipping ladies!) for enjoying all the jokes & stories. Wishing the very best of luck to Keith FC for next season.
PS. Mind I'm @tivolitheatreaberdeen in September, folks...!!!

My pleasure last night to do a fundraising gig for @blantyre09s at one of my favourite old haunts - @johncarrigans in Eddlewood, Hamilton - who provided a great venue, a terrific PA system and a colossal hot buffet.
Having handed out the prizes at last year's bash for the Boys' Club, I heard from a lot of the parents about the brilliant work done by all the volunteer coaches who take kids off the streets - and away from their phones! - to let them enjoy organised football.
Guys like big Neil Archibald [swipe to final pic] who, as I heard last night, has now devoted 10 years of his life to the Blantyre boys.
Well done, mate. I can assure you it was my honour and privilege to help you raise a few quid last night.
See you next year...!

Good luck to the new @aberdeenfc boss Stevie Robinson. A terrific track record @motherwellfc and he surely hit the glass ceiling @stmirrenfootballclub with a run of Top Six finishes and, of course, that amazing League Cup victory against Celtic. A great manager appointed by a great club whose fortunes, I predict, will now change rather dramatically. Good luck to Stevie and all my pals who follow the Dandies...

Well, the football was sh*te, but I still enjoyed a cracking wee overnight stay with my pal @jimwalker933 @theferryhill in Aberdeen - how good does that full Scottish breakfast look?!? Thanks to my mutton-molesting chum @derren13 for the kind hospitality and all the lovely staff at my favourite hotel in the Granite City. (Swipe to see if The Ferryhill reminds you of another well-kent hotel... but only the exterior, I hasten to add!) Good luck to the Dons in the next round.

Right, now the euphoria has died down (well, a wee bit) and at the risk of showing my age, I'd just like to say that - with the greatest of respect and apologies to @scottmctominay @kennymclean66 and #kierantierney - I still think this wee guy remains the scorer of Scotland's greatest ever goal. To this day, I get goosebumps every time I see it.
