We called this the smiley rig. I thought this post would be a good example of how the process goes sometimes to get a complicated shot. if you swipe left you will see a pic of how many of our rigs started. Henry Braham the DOP would ask for a piece of chalk, paint his vision on the concrete floor and then collaborate with me on how to pull it off. Then I would walk over to my right arm @gofiggure and we would start burning brain cells. cut too! #theartofcameramovement #cinemoves #matrix4axisgimbal #remotehead #directorofphotography #DOP #griprigs #production #cinematographer

Wow my friends made a great movie! I’ve always loved watching movies. I now enjoy working on movies and I always love going to movies with friends that have worked on them. It’s a pretty cool space to be in when you get to work on a project and about a year later the art you made gets shared with the whole world. Not many industries get to have that kind of showcase. What an amazing movie to see, I would highly recommend! Shout outs to the amazing crew @lukasz_bielan @insdangraming @maxxyd @moneypennyyyyy and many more. Also to some of my movie location family I got to watch with @englishsly @baileynagy @mcguire2472 @tynancallesen @mike_cipo #F1 #lifeonlocation

THE DAILY STOIC
April I6th

OBSERVE CAUSE AND EFFECT
“Pay close attention in conversation to what is being said, and to what follows from any action. In the action, immediately look for the target, in words, listen closely to what’s being signaled.”
—MARCUS AURELIUS, MEDITATIONS, 7.4

Through the work of the psychologist Albert Elis, Stoicism has
reached millions of people through what’s known as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).
As a form of a therapy, CBT helps patients identify destructive patterns in their thoughts and behavior so they can, over time, direct and influence them in a more positive direction.

Of course, Marcus Aurelius had no formal training in psychology, but his words here are as important as any doctor’s. He’s asking you to become an observer of your own thoughts and the actions those thoughts provoke. Where do they come from? What biases do they contain?
Are they constructive or destructive? Do they cause you to make mistakes or engage in behavior you later regret? Look for pat-terns; find where cause meets effect.
Only when this is done can negative behavior patterns be broken;
only then can real life improvements be made.

Fall 2023 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘢 𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳 Magazine: 𝘉𝘭𝘶𝘦 𝘉𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘭𝘦⁣
⁣
Though various incarnations of the superhero Blue Beetle have appeared on comic book pages since 1939, the current version of the character is a somewhat recent addition to the DC Comics pantheon. Introduced in 2006, Jamie Reyes, the son of Mexican-American immigrants, became the third character to don the mantle of the Blue Beetle. His jump to the silver screen marks the first major superhero movie featuring a Latino lead.⁣
⁣
Christopher T.J. McGuire, SOC, ACO, GBCT (@mcguire2472) —A Camera and Steadicam operator on 𝘉𝘭𝘶𝘦 𝘉𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘭𝘦—is no stranger to shooting on these kinds of blockbuster superhero films. 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘢 𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳 had the chance to chat with him about his work on the film and how its more intimate scale and focus on familial bonds made it distinct from the other comic book movies he’s worked on.⁣
