Life has brought a lot of change lately, but I’m embracing it all. Excited for what’s ahead, new opportunities, and all the ways I get to grow along the way.

I pulled an 18 hour shift at @edgefieldconcerts #loungeonthegreen then bounced in on 3 hours sleep for the Saturday line up of @pickathon

After getting suitably caffinated so I could actually speak, thanks to @seijinanbu and @mchllpdx (bless your hearts), and resetting my cannabinoid levels thanks to hash rosin from @nelsoncompanyorganics (finest rosin in Oregon), I got to visit with the absolute best part of @pickathon the powerhouse @mc2creates whom I know from #backstagebudtending the @pdxjazz
She's brought so much positivity, professiolism and incredible hard work to the event, as she does with all her undertakings. She keeps the lights on, literally and figuratively, and is also a super chill hang. Enjoy Pickathon? Thank her.
I was too exhausted to keep track of anyone I saw play, but everyone was amazing.

hello, angel babes 🥀

This weekend I’ll be at @portlandnightmarket tucked between some of my favorite artists and makers.

Along with the usual Nightwork lineup of candles and perfume, I’ll be quietly playing with something I’ve been piecing together for months…

tiny cinema scent bar 🎥🥀

A tiny interactive perfume bar…..this one is inspired by Romeo + Juliet (1996). Think rose petals, blood orange, cathedral incense, cedar, white florals, rain on old stone, church wax candles and the feeling of a love story that’s just a little bit doomed.

If you’ve ever wanted to build a perfume from a film instead of a formula…come find me

I’ll be there all weekend, making beautiful things with beautiful people. fri/sat 4-11

See you soon

SO to @electricapdx and @seijinanbu and @mchllpdx as @electricapdx was forced to close up last week due to the building going through unexpected changes.

My fondness for excellent coffee is well known, and I was beyond grateful to find them a couple years ago. Not just for their amazing coffees and Matcha drinks, but the careful, curated style and vibe that filled the space.

I'm sure I made @mchllpdx nervous AF as I watched her like a hawk prepare my every order. But I was taking notes for #loungeonthegreen hoping to emulate the quality of their drinks. My pour over game is 10x what is once was thanks to them.

It was also the sole space I would escape to while caring for my Mom during the year leading to her passing. I rarely left the house during that time, and having a sunny, bright space where I could sit quietly and process while I drank more coffee than I should was priceless.

I learned more about coffee and Matcha from @seijinanbu than anyone and his bean curation exposed me to roasters and flavors I never would have found on my own.

Thanks to them both for creating and maintaining a truly exceptional energy and drink line. My life is better for their work.

Very grateful for the last 3 years, it's changed my life completely. I don't think I realized how much of my identity was tied to Electrica until now.

When we first opened, I didn't understand how hard and complicated being a business owner was going to be. It was born from a spontaneous phone call by @smalltimegenius and we got keys to the space 2 weeks before opening (insane). It was only supposed to last 2 years, but here we are.

I really appreciate all my team members that helped me build this and keep it running. It wasn't always easy, and there's no way I could have done it without them. I'm also floored by the amount of support and messages I've received these last two weeks. You guys kicked our asses, we ran out of everything by the last day.

Hopefully there's a next chapter, but for now I'm putting cafe life to rest! 🪦 Maybe I'll go get a normal job again.

Thank you to my friend @carterhiyama for taking our funeral photos 📸
