Someone once told me, “You’re in love with this city.”
Well… for sure. And even after all these years, I’m still in this crazy honeymoon phase. ❤️ LA, you’ve been good to me (most of the time), and so have all the beautiful people I’ve met along the way.
I always come back a better person than when I left ,and sometimes, even a little happier. ❤️ Thank you @lynea_dh again for this wonderful project and @new.circuit for your generous support🙏

⚓️ Ahoy, friends & family! Conley needs your help! ❤️

Serene Hills Elementary’s Sailor Sprint is underway, and our favorite little sailor is asking for donations! ⛵️

Sailor Sprint is the school’s big annual fundraiser, helping fund programs, resources, events, teacher grants, campus improvements and so much more throughout the year.

If you’d like to support Conley and Serene Hills, any amount helps him get closer to his goal — and he would be SO excited to see your name on his donor list! ❤️

Donation link in bio! ⚓️

Thank you for supporting Conley and his school! 💙

Life is meant to be enjoyed at every age. Some of the most meaningful moments come from laughing, being a little silly, and simply spending time with the people you love.

Thank you, @mcismortal, for sharing these joyful moments with your nana.

When I worked as a program director at a senior living community, I got to connect with the residents at both the assisted living and the memory care units.

Witnessing people living life with dementia is an experience that cannot be described… and yet, @m.c.huff this such a beautiful job portraying what that’s like in her short film, One Final Ride - and I’m so happy that I had an opportunity to see it.

As a digital nomad, it rarely happens that I’m in the right place at the right time… and I love that this time, I was!

In addition to being a standalone short film, One Final Ride is also proof of concept for a full feature film, The Golden Trail, and if any of this end-of-life stuff speaks to you… please consider supporting it.

🎬🐴 Little Sage had her Hollywood debut today! ✨

She got to be a scene partner for an audition with my dear friend @m.c.huff , and she was an absolute ROCKSTAR. 🌟 Calm, present, perfectly on cue… basically a natural. 😂

Now we wait for her callback… although I have a feeling she’s already requesting her own trailer and a carrot rider in her contract. 🥕🎥

🎙️ Episode 18 of I Don’t Know What We’re Talking About is out now!

This episode I’m joined by actor and filmmaker M.C. Huff 👀

We talk about her appearance in Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 19, Episode 1, playing the younger version of Jeri Ryan’s character, what it was like behind the scenes, and the journey that led to her landing the role.

Like every episode, the conversation starts with a mystery topic chosen right as we hit record… and from there it goes exactly where it wants to go.

In this case, that meant diving into The Golden Trail Project, M.C.’s work around hospice, death and dementia, and the incredible journey of turning her grandfather’s story into a narrative feature film.

It’s a conversation about acting, memory, storytelling, the stories we carry with us, and yes… plenty of Criminal Minds. ✨
