I’m always drawn to reducing a portrait to its simplest form.

A clean white backdrop, a simple black suit and nothing to distract from the person in front of the camera. The contrast creates an almost surreal feeling, while still keeping the image grounded in the simplicity of a studio portrait.

I wanted this session to feel a little more fashion-forward and editorial while still allowing the subject’s personality and presence to carry the image.

Fight for the Fantasy is a short film about a divorcée who goes on her first date in years and immediately tries to force a love connection between her and the guy across the chicken shop table.

This is a film about how it feels to be stuck in a frenzied one-track mind to attain romantic love!
