More than I could have ever asked, thought, or imagined!

This year was far above the rest and it wasn’t just because we won the SEC championship (but a really nice bonus). This year I saw relationships built on love, selflessness, and answered prayers- prayers I didn’t fully expect to ever be answered to be exact. To be a little vulnerable here, I would pray and pray to MOP because that meant that I was good enough. BUT GOD graciously withheld that answer because in the waiting He was teaching me how to truly walk in His strength and for Him. Now I got to walk away 2 MOPs, all tournament team, and an undefeated post season, which is far more than what I prayed for and believed could happen. I’m so grateful to be living in thousands of answered prayers!

A week ago we made Texas A&M history as the first team to bring an SEC Equestrian Championship back to Aggieland. Last year, everything felt as though it was going to come together and we were gonna go all the way. The feeling all year was just indescribable. Unfortunately, that’s not the Lord had in store for us. This year, I would be lying if I said the journey leading up to this moment was easy. But that’s what makes holding that trophy so much more special. It wasn’t in the least bit given. Every one of us put our heart out in that arena and in the barn. We rode every step and overcome every obstacle until the final point was on that scoreboard. And when it ended 10-10, we all just looked at each other and said “I love you and no matter what happens, I’m proud of you”. What felt like forever went by and as soon as the announcer started to say Texas A&M, I dropped to the ground. Yes out of excitement, but also out of relief. So many times we’ve come oh so close, but this time it really happened. All of our hard work had finally paid off. Although all the losses and hardships this year were difficult, it’s made myself and this team stronger who we are. Between going to Breakaway ministries together and listening to worship music during practice or in the barn has put our whole squad in a posture of gratitude for both the ups and the downs.

I can’t thank my teammates who have supported me through anything and everything enough. None of this could be possible without every one of them. To our coaches, thank you for driving us to be our best and for placing your trust in us to go out and do what we love. I also can’t go without thanking every four-legged teammate, whether it be from our school or not, for carrying us to this point. And a special thank you to my parents for always showing up for me no matter where we go, and for always bringing me my Mtn. Dew 😉

I will cherish this forever. and I want to relive it everyday. Good thing we’re not done yet. Nationals here we come!
